The Company:
The Parker Hannifin Corporation is a $7bn organisation and has over 200 manufacturing facilities worldwide with 16 plants in the UK of which the Barnstaple site is European Headquarters for the
Instrumentation Division. Parker Instrumentation designs, manufactures and markets high quality, critical flow components for worldwide process instrumentation, ultra high purity, medical and analytical applications.
The Role:
You will manage a challenging KTP project to identify, develop and apply new materials technology and manufacturing processes to the redesign and production of the Company’s tube fittings product range.
This is a 24 month University of Plymouth contract with ongoing support and training, providing excellent long-term career prospects within Parker Hannifin on successful completion of the project.
The Person:
You will have graduated within the last 3 years to honours degree level, 2:1 or above in
Materials/Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering/Materials Technology or similar with technical skills in microstructures and mechanical testing. Preferably with relevant commercial experience, you will need to have excellent problem solving skills with an innovative approach, must be able to communicate complex concepts well, work with staff at all levels, and be able to manage and prioritise time.
