Cynthia B, Lundberg, RN, BSN Clinical Informatics Educator, SNOMED Terminology Solutions – Professional Services Cynthia Lundberg is responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering educational/training programs and publications on behalf of STS. Cynthia ensures that educational products and services meet the needs of SNOMED CT’s target audiences. Cynthia brings expertise in acute and home care nursing, informatics, and operations to participate and lead in the strategic direction of STS’ education curriculum. As former Catalogue Manager for Zynx HealthCare, Senior Business Consultant for National Kaiser Permanente Convergent Medical Terminology (CMT), Senior Business Analyst for Kaiser Permanente, Colorado, and Nursing Business Consultant for Marian Medical Center, Cynthia was responsible for managing the implementation of electronic healthcare records. Previously, Cynthia has experience in Clinical Editor/Terminology Manager for Nursing content. She managed the integration of the American Nurses Association recognized nursing terminologies within SNOMED CT. In her role at Kaiser Permanente, National, Cynthia developed and managed the nursing terminology used to support nursing documentation throughout the nine Kaiser Permanente regions within the United States. Cynthia continues to serve as the liaison between the nursing terminology developers, both nationally and internationally, to ensure that SNOMED CT is maintained with the current nursing terminology versions. Cynthia has expertise in the development and implementation of order entry and nursing modules of the Meditech System. For Kaiser Permanente, National and Colorado Region Cynthia developed and managed the implementation of using SNOMED CT within the EPIC application system and the Colorado Clinical Information System. Cynthia is a widely published author and clinical educator on SNOMED CT. She is an International Nursing Review manuscript reviewer. She serves on the Nursing Terminology Summit, HIMSS Informatics Alliance for Nursing, International Health Terminology Standards Development Organization (IHTSDO) Education and Nursing Special Interest Groups, TIGER, HL 7, ASPE, HIMSS Terminology Resource Workgroup, and IHE projects.
