Overseas post-doctoral fellows recruiting of IGA
The Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology (IGA), Chinese
Academy of Sciences (CAS), would like to offer a package of post-doctoral
fellows positions all over the world from now on. Those who are interesting in
the following academic disciplines, such as: 1) Urban forests and wetlands;
2)Soil
animal
biodiversity;
3)Water
pollution and prevention;
4)Soil
microbiology and nutrition cycle; 5) Restoring degraded wetland; 6) Molecular
Ecology of Farmland; 7)Farmland Pest Control; 8) Molecular Breeding of
Soybean (for detailed information, please see the following specific table) are
welcome to apply. On entering one of the following positions, we will
accordingly provide you with research funds, equipment, daily expenses and
fees for international academic exchanges. We will also provide support in
terms of salaries, housing, offices and lab facilities.
About IGA
The Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology (IGA), Chinese
Academy of Sciences (CAS)was established in August, 2002. IGA is now
located in the North region of Changchun High-Tec Development Zone,
Changchun City, Jilin Province of China. IGA is one of China’s national
comprehensive research institutions and training base, focusing mainly on
geography, agriculture, ecology, environment sciences and technology in the
Northeast Region of China.
IGA is now focusing on: 1) New cropping techniques and development of key
technology in cultivating major crops in Northeast China, 2) Soil animal
biodiversity Carbon cycling in wetlands and its adaptation for combating global
climate change, 3) Molecular techniques for the cultivation of soybeans, 4)
Development of key technology for the improvement of Mollisols fertility, 5)
Vegetation recovery for saline-sodic soils, and 6) Restoration and design of
constructed wetlands.
