Gamma Beta Phi Meeting Minutes
September 13th, 2006
-Came to order: 7:05
-A sign up sheet is going around to put down ideas for meeting refreshments. Just add
any ideas you would like to include.
-Pres: Welcome to the new school year! We have to renew our organization status with
ASISU every year. There is a sheet going around that each of you will need to sign.
Dues are $15 for the year. If you were just inducted and paid a total of $65 you will not
need to pay the $15 for this year. Please pay this amount by the next meeting to the
ASISU office(in the Hypostyle between the PSUB and the Museum Building). Make
checks out to Gamma Beta Phi and let Stacie (the treasurer) know that you paid:
summstac@isu.edu Our meetings will be the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm
for officers and 7:00pm for everyone else.
-Service: Our first group project is coming up. The Halloween Carnival in the PSUB is
where ISU faculty and students can have a safe place to bring their kids to have fun. We
just help with the games that will be set up. We will talk more about it at the October
meeting. As a member of GBP you are required to complete a total of 10 service hours in
the year. You may break that down to 5 hours per semester. Please let Judit (the service
coordinator) know of any hours that you have done(or will do) individually:
fucsjudi@isu.edu If you need some service hours you can go to the SLIC in the PSUB
and they have an entire book of service activities you can participate in.
-Homecoming: This will be the 18th -23rd We get points for attending homecoming events
(this can lead to some extra money from ASISU if they see that we are active in campus
activities). These are the events we will be participating in:
Monday 18th : Movie on the quad @ dusk. The movie will be signs and all you
have to do is show up!
Monday 18th : 2-8pm Window painting in the PSUB. Paints will be provided and
it is a great way to get our name out to the campus.
Friday 22nd : The Bonfire @ Bartz Field. Big fire with lots of free food!
Saturday 23rd: the Homecoming Parade! Meet on 1st street at 8 am! If you plan
on attending the parade let Emily (membership coordinator and float chair) know:

Please let Natalie(the secretary) know if you attended any events and your Bengal # this
way we can officially apply for incentive points edmonata@isu.edu
-Car Wash: This Saturday @ Rent-a-center from 10-2. We want to raise money for
shirts. Shirts will be $10 and need to be paid to Eni’s office by Tuesday! Make
checks payable to Gamma Beta Phi. Eni’s office is located in the small hallway left of
the Information Desk in the PSUB it is the second to last door on the left. Please let the
secretary know you are paying for your shirt. You may also pay your dues with the shirt,
just indicate that on the check and let Stacy know.
Jeremy will only be ordering shirts for those who attend the carwash and have paid by
