PURPOSE OF THE MODULE :

To provide data for on-going evaluation on initiation and duration of breastfeeding of women (age 18-49 who have given birth in the last 5 years).

To provide information regarding the main reasons women stop breastfeeding.

To increase to 50% the percentage of infants breastfed up to six months by the year

INDICATOR DESCRIPTION:

% of women age 18-49 who breastfed for less than 1 week, at least 1month, at least 3 months and at least 6 months

INDICATOR OBJECTIVES:

To increase to 50% the percentage of infants breastfed up to six months by the year
