Major – Criminology – Magna Cum Laude Graduate WORK EXPERIENCE: Retired 1998: Department of Justice – Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) Washington, D. C. Senior Management Analyst – GM – 13, Office of Internal Audit. A full knowledge of the structure and interrelationships of laws, rules, regulations, and policies within the Federal Government as they related to the programs within INS were tantamount in the position I held within the Internal Audit Branch. I determined the objectives and scope of all the studies I was responsible for, conducted all investigative reviews, analyzed results and prepared final reports containing recommendations for improvement to top management. I delivered entrance and exit briefings to District and Regional Directors at the start and finish of all on-site investigations of each review and or study. I also prepared all formal correspondence that accompanied every final report. I researched issues for potential future studies and provided expert legal audit advice and guidance involving special program projects. I prepared and delivered training to the subject matter experts prior to each site visit. I prepared monthly summary reports on QA results, and functioned as a liaison between various INS offices and Justice Management Division in support of numerous projects. Since retiring from INS I was hired as a contractor to develop legal brochures on Domestic Violence for their VOWA (Violence Against Woman Association) Worldwide. 1987 – 1992: Department of Navy – Headquarters Naval Sea Systems Command Arlington, Virginia Logistics Management Specialist – GM 11 – 12, Material Support Division. I was a Charter member of the investigation into the Accident aboard the IWO JIMA Assault Carrier Ship. I initiated meetings between NAVSEA and NAVSUP addressing the committee’s involvement and provided technical data and historical background in support of the on-going investigation. Logistical support included the review of all Naval education and training programs and implementing changes in training for all Naval Surface Ships. As sponsor for the Level I Submarine safety program I was the coordinating manager that provided overall direction with NAVSEA on technical issues, engineering questions, and quality matters. I also ensured program, logistic and legal compliance with NAVSEA directives and policies. I served as an audit team member for Level I functional audits. I developed position papers on Sub Safe logistic issues. I was the coordinating manager for Technical Logistics Reviews and Industrial Support Conferences. 1997 Worked Security for President Clinton’s Second Inauguration. Commanded the Control Center for all former Secret Service Agents brought back to cover the events. Worked Security with the current Secret Service during the Vice Presidential Ball at Union Station. Helped the contracting agent to secure Military Security Police from the local military bases to work after hours in the Washington, D. C. area for all inaugural balls and events.
