9. Quinoline mix You are allergic to clioquinol or chlorquinaldol. They are antiseptic agents used mainly on the skin for diseases like eczema, psoriasis and ear problems. They are often combined with steroids, which may mask the allergic response. It is occasionally given systemically, for example to treat diarrhoea. Inform your doctor that you are allergic to it so he or she can avoid prescribing products containing it e.g. Locorten-Vioform ear drops Vioform and Vioform HC Synalar C Betnovate C Locoid C Quinaband bandage Sterosan Steroxin Avoid the related drugs iodoquinol (Diodoquin, Diiodohydroxyquin), chlorhydroxyquinoline (Quinolor).
