St. Mary Magdalen’s Class of 2010 Earn High School Scholarships
Media, PA. St. Mary Magdalen School’s eighth grade students have been the recipients, to date, of
more than $340,000 in scholarship money to local high schools, in recognition of significant academic
achievement, leadership and service.
Thomas Allen has received a partial scholarship to Devon Preparatory School. Benjamin Aman is the
recipient of the Presidential Scholarship to Malvern Preparatory School, the St. Ignatian Scholarship to
St. Joseph Preparatory School, and was a finalist in the Cardinal O’Hara High School Scholarship
competition. Sarah Brown was awarded partial scholarships to Merion Mercy Academy and
Archbishop Carroll High School. Bruce Byrne has received a partial scholarship to Cardinal O’Hara
High School, and Julio del Peon has received a partial scholarship to Archmere Academy. Mary Hope
received a Mercy Scholar scholarship to Merion Mercy Academy, while Ross Kelley received the
Ignatian Scholarship to St. Joseph Preparatory School. Celine and Leah Lombardi have each been
awarded partial scholarships to Villa Maria Academy. Katelyn Markley has received a partial
scholarship to Merion Mercy Academy, a partial scholarship to the Academy of Notre Dame, a partial
scholarship to Cardinal O’Hara High School, and the Neumann Scholar Award. Stephen McAlee is
the recipient of the Rev. Stephen Bendik Scholarship to Devon Preparatory School. Christopher Smith
has received the Kevin Flatley Scholarship to Devon Preparatory School and a partial scholarship to
Archmere Academy. Michael Stangis has been awarded the Martin Devine Scholarship to Devon
Preparatory School, and Eric Toddy has received the Kevin Flatley Scholarship to Devon Preparatory
School and a partial scholarship to Archmere Academy. Andrew Wilson is the recipient of the Kevin
Flatley Scholarship to Devon Preparatory School and a partial scholarship to Archmere Academy.
St. Mary Magdalen School is a co-educational parochial school for children Kindergarten through
eighth grade located in Media, Pennsylvania. This fully accredited school is passionately Catholic and
academically challenging in the development of the whole child, in an atmosphere where Catholic
values are central to daily instruction and activities. Students are provided a competitive curriculum
where every student is challenged and encouraged to work to their ability.
