DIVE PROCEDURES – TABLE 1-26 Surface Decompression Using Oxygen with Nitrox or Air in Water Stops

IN WATER PHASE

* Ascent procedures

25 feet per minute to the first stop

 Ascent time between stops & from 30 feet to surface is ONE MINUTE

Decompression time as specified begins on arrival at the stop depth

Do not include ascent time as part of stop times

Delays at earlier stops are not to be compensated for at later stops

*50/50 Nitrox Switch

Switch to 50/50 Nitrox at 100 feet during ascent

Nitrox decompression mix is not to be connected to the manifold until the diver passes 100 feet

 On surface divers umbilical is to be flushed thoroughly with air prior to starting next dive

 Umbilical flush is to be formally logged

CHAMBER PHASE

Diver is recompressed to 50 feet in 30 seconds and is to be breathing oxygen within 3 minutes of arriving at 50 feet

 Remain at 50 feet for 10 minutes then ascend to 40 feet in 1 minute

On arrival at 40 feet the first air break is given prior to starting Oxygen time at this depth

Breath Oxygen for the time listed broken into cycles of 20 minutes interspersed with 5 minute air breaks

ASCENT FROM 40 FEET

** On completion of total Oxygen time at 40 feet surface the diver at the rate 4 feet per minute (10 minutes)

 Diver to breath Oxygen during the entire ascent.

LOSS OF NITROX

If there is a loss of Nitrox, switch diver to Air and decompress according to table * REPETITIVE DIVES – Are only permitted after a minimum surface interval of 6 hours

 Previous bottom time must have been such that divers repet group was no greater than ‘O’

Refer to table 1-10 for Repetitive Group Designator (RGD) not to exceed ‘O’

 Refer to Table 1-12 for new RGD at the end of the surface interval

 Using new RGD refer to Table 1-13 for Residual Nitrogen Time (RNT)

70 FEET

* Surface Interval

Upon surfacing the diver has 3 and a half minutes maximum to start recompression in the chamber

NOTE: On any occasion that the Depth or Bottom Time falls within 2 feet or 2 minutes of a Depth or Time increment of a schedule use the next Deeper and/or next longer schedule.

DIVE PROCEDURES – TABLE 1-26 Surface Decompression Using Oxygen with Nitrox or Air in Water Stops

IN WATER PHASE

* Ascent procedures

 25 feet per minute to the first stop

 Ascent time between stops & from 30 feet to surface is ONE MINUTE

Decompression time as specified begins on arrival at the stop depth

Do not include ascent time as part of stop times

Delays at earlier stops are not to be compensated for at later stops

CHAMBER PHASE

 Diver is recompressed to 50 feet in 30 seconds and is to be breathing oxygen within 3 minutes of arriving at 50 feet

*50/50 Nitrox Switch

Switch to 50/50 Nitrox at 100 feet during ascent

 Nitrox decompression mix is not to be connected to the manifold until the diver passes 100 feet

 On surface divers umbilical is to be flushed thoroughly with air prior to starting next dive

 Umbilical flush is to be formally logged

ASCENT FROM 40 FEET

** On completion of total Oxygen time at 40 feet surface the diver at the rate 4 feet per minute (10 minutes)

 Diver to breath Oxygen during the entire ascent.

LOSS OF NITROX

If there is a loss of Nitrox, switch diver to Air and decompress according to table * REPETITIVE DIVES – Are only permitted after a minimum surface interval of 6 hours

 Previous bottom time must have been such that divers repet group was no greater than ‘O’

 Refer to table 1-10 for Repetitive Group Designator (RGD) not to exceed ‘O’

 Refer to Table 1-12 for new RGD at the end of the surface interval

 Using new RGD refer to Table 1-13 for Residual Nitrogen Time (RNT)

* Surface Interval

140 FEET

Upon surfacing the diver has 3 and a half minutes maximum to start recompression in the chamber

NOTE: On any occasion that the Depth or Bottom Time falls within 2 feet or 2 minutes of a Depth or Time increment of a schedule use the next Deeper and/or next longer schedule.

 On arrival at 40 feet the first air break is given prior to starting Oxygen time at this depth

Breath Oxygen for the time listed broken into cycles of 20 minutes interspersed with 5 minute air breaks

Umbilical flush is to be formally logged

ASCENT FROM 40 FEET

** On completion of total Oxygen time at 40 feet surface the diver at the rate 4 feet per minute (10 minutes)

 Diver to breath Oxygen during the entire ascent.

LOSS OF NITROX

If there is a loss of Nitrox, switch diver to Air and decompress according to table * REPETITIVE DIVES – Are only permitted after a minimum surface interval of 6 hours

Previous bottom time must have been such that divers repet group was no greater than ‘O’

Refer to table 1-10 for Repetitive Group Designator (RGD) not to exceed ‘O’

 Refer to Table 1-12 for new RGD at the end of the surface interval

 Using new RGD refer to Table 1-13 for Residual Nitrogen Time (RNT)

210 FEET

* Surface Interval

* Ascent procedures

25 feet per minute to the first stop

 Ascent time between stops & from 30 feet to surface is ONE MINUTE

 Decompression time as specified begins on arrival at the stop depth

Do not include ascent time as part of stop times

Delays at earlier stops are not to be compensated for at later stops
