This programme has been developed by the Workforce Planning and Development Team and includes comprehensive training courses to suit the mandatory and essential training requirements of the Adult Social Care and Health workforce. In addition to the courses listed in this programme the Workforce Planning and Development Team will be able to design, co ordinate and commission bespoke courses specific to your needs, looking at ways in which your staff can develop, not only through direct training but by linking to others in a similar situation How to book onto a course Bookings made via Training Shared Service Centre: A booking form for your use can be found by clicking here or email trainingsharedservicecentre@bolton.gov.uk with the course details Telephone bookings cannot be accepted Course Times All course times are as noted below unless otherwise stated on the individual course programme/flyer – please check Full day courses are 9.30am – 4.30pm Half day morning courses are 9.30am – 12.30pm Afternoon sessions are 1.30pm – 4.30pm Please note that refreshments on one and two day courses will now only consist of a light sandwich/snack lunch. There is a café on the premises at the Castle Hill Centre where additional hot and cold food can be purchased. Confirmations Once you send in a booking form you will automatically be booked on the course. If the course is full, you will be contacted and offered an alternative place (if available) or your place will be cancelled. IMPORTANT - You will receive a Joining Instruction notification approximately 6 weeks prior to the course date, however, please note this is not a reminder to attend and will not be accepted as a reason to waive the fee for not attending 2 Bolton Social Care & Health Training Partnership Programme 2014- 2015 Cancellations To cancel a course please notify the Training Shared Service Centre on 01204 337600 or email trainingsharedservicecentre@bolton.gov.uk A cancellation must be made at least 3 weeks prior to the event date, otherwise the following charges will apply: Cancellation period Charge If you cancel 3 weeks prior to the course – No charge If you cancel the course 2/3 weeks of the course date £25 If you cancel a course within one week of the course date or do not attend, the chargeable fee will be £50.00 (Note no subsidies) IMPORTANT – Non-attendance without prior notice will always be charged at full rate unless there are exceptional extenuating circumstances. How to pay for courses You will be invoiced in advance of the course taking place. Prompt payment will ensure your place; failure to pay will result in losing your place. Is it relevant to my job role and responsibilities? Is it a mandatory or essential requirement that I attend this course Has my manager agreed or approved my attendance and have I got agreement on who will pay for the course? Due to my working hours/constraints, will I be able to attend the course on time and will I need to leave work early to get to the venue on time? If I don’t get there on time I may be turned away and still be charged in full for non-attendance If I cancel between 2/3 weeks of course date, I or my establishment will be charged £25 If I cancel within 1 week of the date, I or my establishment will be charged the full price Manager: Is it relevant to their job role and responsibilities, do I want them to share their learning with the team? Have I approved their attendance and agreed to who will pay for the course Will I need to let them finish early to ensure they get to the venue on time or do I expect them to attend the course in their own time? Do I need to prepare them for the content of the course, e.g. relevance to work?
