Deputy Director (AH): Epidemiology: - Responsible for Epidemiological studies of various diseases of Livestock in the State and responsible for maintenance of data pertaining to the Animal Disease Surveillance and publication of bulletins. 5). Special Officer, R.E.S. Hyderabad:-He will assist in implementing the Schemes for eradication of Rinderpest in the State and also responsible for collection of data of Rinderpest. 6). Deputy Director (AH) Standardization Division, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad:- He is responsible for conducting qualitative and potency tests on biological products, produced at V.B.R.I. Hyderabad and Samalkot and also to breed and maintain and supply of Laboratory animals to VBRI, Hyderabad and Samalkot. 7). Deputy Director (AH): Viral Vaccine Production Unit, Samalkot, and E.G.Dist:-Responsible for production of various vaccines and its supply to the Coastal Districts in the State. Assistant Director (AH) Farms: - He will assist in preparation of Drought Action Plans/ matters pertaining to Livestock and Sheep Farms and Fodder Development activities in the State. 3). Assistant Director (AH): Piggery: - Assist in formulating the Schemes for development of Piggery in the State. 4). Assistant Director (AH): Poultry:-Assist in formulating the Schemes for development of Poultry in the State. 4 5). Special Officer, DCLF. AP. Hyderabad: - He has overall responsibility of monitoring activities of the Government Livestock Farms in the State and provides guidance to the private Dairy Farmers for formulation of Dairy schemes and its establishment. 6). Assistant Director (AH): Sheep and Goat: - He will assist in effective control of supervision of Sheep Development activities in the State. 7). Assistant Director (AH): Goshala: - Overall in charge of Goshala Development and animal welfare activities in the State. iii). Additional Director (Planning):- He will attend to all Plans and Schemes with the assistance of the following officers. They are accountable for their omission and commission to Director of Animal Husbandry, A.P.Hyderabad and the Principal Secretary to Government. 1). Joint Director (AH): Statistics:- Responsible for maintenance of complete departmental data and its Computerization. 2). Joint Director (AH): Smilda: - Responsible for identifying the Trainings required by the Veterinarians/Staff working in the Department for improvement of skills. 3). Assistant Director (AH) HRD:- Responsible for identifying the Trainings required by the Veterinarians/Staff 5 working in the Department for improvement of skills 4). Principal, School of Reproduction, Mandapeta. E.G.Godavari:- Responsible for formulating training programmes for in service candidates in Breed improvement to the Veterinarians. Besides the above Technical Officers, the following Officers will assist the Director of Animal Husbandry, A.P. Hyderabad, in Administrative and Financial matters. 1). DISTRICT LEVEL SETUP:Each District is head by a Joint Director (AH) except, Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy District, which are under the control of Regional Joint Director (AH); Hyderabad. The Joint Director (AH) is the Chief Technical and Administrative Officer and in charge of all Animal Husbandry Schemes in the District and is answerable to the Director of Animal Husbandry, as well as the District Collector. He is assisted by the following subject matter specialists:- 1. Administrative and Financial:- The file will be originated by the JA/SA through the Superintendent, GOM and JD(AH) 2.
