Cultural policy debates – EUNIC Beograd and Faculty of Dramatic Arts of Belgrade EUNIC colleagues have become an integral part of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, helping teach future professionals in the field of culture. Every week we met with students following the cultural diplomacy course at the Faculty, together with students from the UNESCO master of Management in culture and cultural policy in the Balkans and from the Faculty of Political Science. We included representatives in the field of cultural diplomacy and international cultural cooperation from eight European countries. The aim of our debates was to mix theory and practice and to engage a dialogue between experienced European professionals and future Serbian professionals. EUNIC Beograd members temporarily wore a professor’s hat and each brought an interesting angle to the topics. To make the discussions even more interesting, we invited several colleagues from Serbia and from other countries around the world. This gave the students opportunities to see similarities and differences in approaches but also to search together for possible ideas for a Serbian model. The course will result in creative proposals from students for the Serbian model and for a strategy of international cultural cooperation. Detailed programme of the debates in March and April: 6.3.
