IDEAL FLUSH TANK
This invention pertains to the sanitary ware industries. This invention has got
graded flushing facility and a bubble technology with the dual purpose of water
conservation and odour free toilet.
In the field of sanitary ware there are several modified new appliances for
different advantages and utilities. But this invention is purposely designed to minimize
water usage in the toilet and to minimize bad odour inside the toilet. This invention
consists of a graded flow of water. The purpose of using this flush is that one can choose
the quantity of water one wants to use every time.
Human toilet habits include urination and defecation and bathing. Urination and
defecation happen in a phased manner. At each phase human excretion reach the pan of
the toilet, stay there for a while and then get flushed into the septic tank. During every
phase we feel like flushing it out. But every time flushing is difficult with the existing
toilet appliances. Hence, this invention comes into play to flush the excretion now and
then.
There are times when we want to flush with minimum quantity of water and
sometimes maximum quantity of water. With the existing system of sanitary appliances, it
is not possible to monitor or control the quantity of the water used for flushing. With this
invention, it is possible to use the necessary quantity of water at any particular time.
There is a graded mechanism which enables one to use only the necessary quantity of
water. The water reservoir used for flushing is divided in to three sections, the top, the
middle and the lower sections. Each section is not separated. All the three sections
function as a single container, but the outlets of each section segregate one section from
the other. The user can choose to use minimum quantity of water, moderate quantity of
water or maximum quantity of water as per the need. If only the top section is utilized
there is minimum water usage. Water conservation is made possible with this, because
every time we use the toilet we don’t need the whole reservoir tank to be used. But
because there is no other option, we are forced to waste a large quantity of water even if it
is not required. Each section of the water reservoir drains into three different outlets.
These outlets are rectangular in shape having the whole breadth of the tank as it’s lumen.
This helps to release a forcible flush in a short span of time by drastically minimizing the
1
emptying time. Each section of water column is controlled by a separate push button. If
the top push button is used, only the upper section of the water column drains into the
outlet pipe and then into the common chamber and then into the pan. If the middle push
button is used, both the top and the middle sections of water drains into the outlet pipe,
then into the common chamber and then into the pan. If the lower push button is used, all
the three section of water columns are emptied into the common chamber and then into
the pan.
This arrangement helps in water conservation and enables use of only the necessary
quantities of water and will surely avoid water wastage into the septic tanks.
As the whole world is very apprehensive about the global warming which is very
alarming, we all must contribute to saving water in our own way. By using this kind of
water reservoir for toilet flushing, the whole country will save very considerable amounts
of water each day.
The other major advantage of this special design of reservoir is the provision of the
additional reservoir with an emulsified soap solution inside which can create bubbles
when flushed along with the water. This causes bubbles inside the toilet pan which
dramatically reduces the bad odour from the toilet pan. These bubbles are usually of
multiple layers which provides ultimate seal for the bad odour because the surface
tension of the bubbles prevents bad odour from the underlying water seal to escape
through it.
This dual method of instant flushing with minijets of water flushing and the multiple
bubble technology provide perfect odour free toilets. If the soap solution contains a
pleasant deodorant the whole toilet will have a pleasant atmosphere.
2
OBJECT OF INVENTION
The objective of the invention is to make a flush tank with segmental water outlets for
graded flushing and to provide multiple layered bubble protection to avoid bad odour in
the toilets.
The other objective of the invention is to have a flush tank with rectangular outlet pipes,
which having the breadth of the tank size as its lumen size going down along the side
margins of the tank and joining into the common chamber. The lowest section of water
column opens into the common chamber through a similar rectangular channel as a
straight pipe from the bottom of the tank. All the three sections of water channels join at
the common chamber.
The other objective of the invention is to provide a separate tank for a soap solution or
any emulsified solution which can froth and create bubbles. This soap solution opens into
the common chamber. The user if he / she want to use the bubbles must push the graded
quantity of soap solution into the common chamber first and then open the water channel,
so that frothing creates bubbles which are carried along with the water stream to go into
the pan and cover the water seal.
The other objective of the invention is to control the water flow in a graded manner by
using different push buttons. The soap solution is also ejected into the common chamber
with the help of a separate push button. Hence, there are 4 push buttons used in this flush
tank. The water along with the bubbles is carried into the pan via a rectangular water
channel which is connected to the front aspect of the inner rim of the pan. The pan may
be a western commode or an Indian squatting pan.
Summarizing the advantages of this invention
1) It is a very good design of the flush tank for the toilets to use minimum quantity of
water.
2) It is made easy for the user to choose the right quantity of water.
3) It is a frequently flushing method by using mini jets of water thus avoiding bad
odour in the toilet.
4) The rectangular (Pipelines) water channels are designed to provide a forcible
ejection of water from the tank into the pan by minimizing the emptying time.
3
5) It is providing the multiple bubbles into the pan and reduces the bad odour and
spreads pleasant smell in the toilet area, thus makes the toilet zone a comfortably
usable area of home.
As the global warming is a major social concern, it is mandatory that we use water
carefully and legitimately. Our role to conserve water will be inevitable in the future.
Hence, this invention helps us to avoid water wastage into the toilets.
This multiple channel outlet flush tank gives us the option to use water in the toilet in a
very judicial way. Depending upon the need, the quantity of water needed to flush the
toilet can be decided by the user.

Detailed description:
Referring now to the drawings wherein the reference numbers are used herein to
designate like elements, embodiments of the present invention are illustrated and
described and other possible embodiments of the present invention are described. The
figure is not necessarily drawn to the scale and in some instances the drawings have been
exaggerated and / or simplified in places for illustrative purposes only. One of ordinary
skill in the art will appreciate the many possible applications and variations of the present
invention based on the following examples of possible embodiments of the present
invention.
This multiple channel outlet flush tank is made up of transparent synthetic fiber material
which is a major advantage and major difference from the rest of the available flush tank
because, it enables us to see the quantity of water used. So, this gives us a clear insight
into water saving and water wasting. When this product comes to the market it will
revolutionize the society by deeply imparting the water saving concepts.
The multiple outlet flush tank is totally a transparent tank that can be fitted to Asian type
sitting pans or to the western type commodes. In addition to the water tank this has got
another small tank for a soap solution or an oily solution that can froth and produce
5
bubbles. This double tank system achieves the dual purpose of water saving and avoiding
the bad odour from the toilet.
This multiple channel flush tank 5 can be fixed on the side of the toilet at the lower
aspect of the wall 19. The soap solution tank 17 is an additional attachment to the water
tank; it could be either attached closer to the flush tank or above the water tank. A
(channel) pipe for soap solution 7 connects the soap solution tank to the common
chamber 8 where the solution is poured inside. The valve 1 is controlling the quantity of
the soap solution that is ejected into the common chamber 8.
The water from the rectangular water channels 9 &10 open into the common chamber 8
where the water flow is made to create bubbles with the help of the soap solution. The
water channels 9 &10 are rectangular in shape and the flow of the water will be faster and
the sudden heavy flow of the water into the common chamber 8 will create lot of bubbles
with the minimum quantity of soap solution. The water along with the bubbles created in
the common chamber 8 is flowing into the rectangular channel 11 and then into the toilet
pan 12. The channel 11 is submerged under the floor of the toilet 21. The channel 11 is
rectangular and this shape allows the flow of water and the bubbles to the pan quickly
without any stagnation or slowing down of water flow. This jet of water flow can
effectively clean the pan 12. The rectangular shape releases a wide spread water sweep
over the pan 12.
When we want to use the soap bubbles, we have to use the push button of valve 1 first,
which will eject a small quantity of soap solution into the common chamber 8. Then
according to the need we will have to choose between the push button valves 2, 3 or 4.
Push button 2 will empty the whole tank. If we want maximum quantity of water to flush
the pan, we will have to use the push button of valve 2. If we need moderate quantity, we
have to use the push button of valve 3. If we need only minimum quantity of water we
will have to use the push button of valve 4. The water flow into the flush tank from the
over head tank is controlled by the inlet valve 13.
The valve 2, 3 and 4 are similar embodiments. Each valve contains a push button with a
spring and a flap for closing and opening.
The transparent flush tank 5 made up of a synthetic fiber material and the transparent
soap solution tank 17 can be separately fixed to the wall or the tank 17 can be kept above
the tank 5 as per the convenience.
6
The water channels 9 and 10 open up into the common chamber independently and are
controlled by the valves 4 & 3 respectively. The common chamber 8 also could be made
up of a transparent synthetic fiber material. The rectangular water channel 11 is kept just
below the floor. So, the tanks 5, 17 and 8 are all transparent chambers. The amount of
water, soap solution and the mixing of both are all visible from outside by the user.
Direct visualization of the happenings within these chambers will enable the user to
directly see the amount of water used or wasted.
The escape of water from the tank 5 from the multiple outlets via the valves 2, 3 & 4
makes this kind of water reservoir unique. The water flow channels 9, 10 and 11 are all
rectangular in shape and so the flow of water will be more and without hurdles. The
lumen size of the channels 9, 10 & 11 are equal to the breadth of the tank 5. The soap
solution 6 used in this system may be of several kinds. Our aim is just to produce bubbles
that will cover the top surface of the water seal in the pan hole. This method will totally
eliminate bad odour from the toilets. The soap solution may be replaced by any solution
that can produce more bubbles.
It may be feared that the soap may kill the bacteria useful in degrading the solid contents
of the septic tank. But due to the resistance developing nature of the bacteria they survive
the soap solution and continue to help and degrade the solid particles within the septic
tank. So, the septic tank degradation process is not affected by using this kind of mild
soap solutions.
