compliments the Victorian coastal landscape and incorporates ecological
sustainable design and construction principles.
Submissions in this category may include:

infrastructure

use and development on Crown

architecture
public or private buildings
renovation/reuse of buildings
revitalisation of a coastal precinct
a subdivision/coastal estate
structure plan
Nominations are encouraged from developers, consultants, and local and state government
departments and agencies, Committees of Management (CoMs), private companies,
Traditional Owners, community groups, individuals, architects, builders and designers.



1. Outline the motivation for and the objectives of the project, including any particular
challenges and how these were overcome.
2. Explain the project planning process. What resources were utilised and who was
included. Your answer should include details of relevant stakeholder engagement,
community consultation, research and investigations.

3. Describe how the design, building or infrastructure respects and complements its
coastal location and how it demonstrates innovation and the application of best
practice.
4. Describe how ecologically sustainable design principles were incorporated into the
design, building or infrastructure.

5. Describe how the design, building or infrastructure has been considered to adapt to
the dynamic and changing coastal environment (for example - extreme coastal
