2015 Influences and Adjustments for the: Yin Wood Sheep
The Chinese solar year runs from Feb. 4, 2015– Feb. 3, 2016. Chinese (Lunar) New Year
is February 19, 2015. Solar New Year is a fixed date and Lunar New Year is the second
new moon after the winter solstice. In traditional feng shui, we have two factors to take
into consideration: the animal year and the annual Lo Shu number. The animal year
refers to things that influence you on a personal level. The annual Lo Shu number refers
to energetic influences located in specific areas (compass directions) of your home, office
and garden. Working from a position of strength, you can positively influence the type of
year you have, by neutralizing negative energies and negative stars.
2015 is a Yin Wood Sheep year. The Sheep (also called Goat), a yin Earth animal, is compatible
with the Rabbit, Pig, Snake, and Horse. It clashes with the Ox. People born in Ox years may have
more challenges in 2015.
We last experienced the energies represented this year 60 years ago, in 1955. 2003 was our
most recent Sheep year. Unlike 2003, which was a Yin Water Sheep year, according to Chinese
metaphysics, Sheep qualities include hidden yin Fire, Wood and Earth energy. Wood energy
supports and strengthens Fire, and Fire energy supports and strengthens Earth. 2015 is bound to
be a year of breakthroughs on many levels.
Sheep energy is gentle, nurturing, and earthy. During sheep years, more focus is likely to be put
into finding peaceful resolutions to long standing problems. Common sense thinking and strategy
may play a stronger role. Although, peace is favored over war and compromise over arguments or
continued fighting, the last two Sheep years (1991, 2003) were also Gulf war years. We’ll also
see how this rolls out in the US Congress.
Sheep are sincere, gentle, loyal, disciplined, and also very sensitive, giving and generous. People
born in sheep years can be excellent listeners, although they probably will not take aggressive
action to help you solve your problems. When out of balance, moodiness and /or depression may
set in. On the downside, sheep can also be pessimistic, withdrawn and lazy. Given the Sheep’s
yin nature, they may need a boost from a fiery yang friend from time to time. The Yin Wood
Energy of 2015’s heavenly stem fuels the earth branch fundamental Earth nature of the Sheep.
The Flying Stars influences the energy in your house. Two primary systems are in practice
today: Flying Star System I (primary system in use) and Flying Star System II, (not documented
in popular publications but some say is even more powerful). In both systems we are in Period 8.
Period 8 influences houses built or renovated from February 4, 2004 through February 3, 2023
via FS System #1. Period 8 began in February 1996 and continue until February 2016 in FS
System 2. Regardless of the system, we are in Period 8 for the next year.
The Annual Lo Shu number is the annual number that “flies in” every February. The number for
2015 is 3. Thus “3” is in the middle of the Lo Shu or Magic Square for the year. This number and
positioning is used for both Flying Star systems as well as Nine Star Ki astrology.

Cleanse Last Year’s Cures
-
-
You can cleanse the cures currently in place under the full moon or in 4 hours of
direct sunlight. Sprinkle with salt and let them soak up the moonshine or sunshine.
Then rinse under water and place in the appropriate areas.
Toss all old Salt Water cures; replace in the 5 and 2 Star sectors (West, SE).
Toss out Bagua Mirrors used as an annual cure.
#1 White: in East…This benevolent Water star can positively influence career, wealth, education,
romance, children, luck, ears, kidneys, blood. Water supporting Wood is favorable for 2015. Take
advantage of this favorable star during 2015! Blues and greens are favorable colors for enhancing
the East this year. Water features and plants are also favorable. Do not place water in your
bedroom though. If your bedroom is here (or if your bed is in the West or SE corner of the room),
place a set of six I Ching coins tied with a red ribbon beside the bed. Metal wealth ingots and
citrine will support wealth. If your main door is here, a water feature is a nice enhancement.
#2 Black: in SE … Untimely star and area in 2015. The #2 Star is inauspicious during Period 8.
Use a lot of metal in this area. Place a salt water cure here, along with six red coins tied with
red ribbon, a metal singing bowl, round metal objects, a brass Wu Lou (gourd), metal objects
without sharp points. This star impacts the health of those under its influence (personal Lo Shu
1,3, 4) and is associated with sickness, disease, bad luck, stress, stomach and digestive problems,
bloated feelings, gossip, back stabbing, family unrest. Omit or minimize red, candles, triangular
shapes, bright lights (fire element) in this area. If a main door falls here, hang a bagua wealth
protection mirror outside to deflect negative energy, avoid using red in the room, and triangle of
fiery shapes. If your bedroom is in this sector, place a brass Wu Lou in the SE corner of the
bedroom. Bathrooms and storage areas in the SE for 2015 are harmless. For SE offices a golden
jeweled elephant, with a raised trunk, (jin se da xiang) and/or a gold God of Wealth figurine (Tsai
Shen Yeh) would be an excellent additions for 2015. It would be favorable for pregnant women
to avoid the SE bedroom, if possible.
#3 Jade: in Center … Star #3 is an unpredictable star during Period 8 and this star is
trapped in the Center during 2015. It is best not to activate it. Keep this area quiet for 2015
and avoid building or renovations. Beware of possible theft, arguments, disputes, hot tempers and
legal problems. Take security measures. Remove metal and add Fire energy; metal aggravates
this energy. Remove all wind chimes, particularly metal. Use red decorative objects, candles,
lamps, lights, a lamp on a wooden stand with a peach or red shade, a red candle, a red Buddha or
a red dragon, red fu dogs. A red rug or floor mat is excellent. Metal color is OK, if you already
have it. Carefully check all documents before signing, if your office is located here. A special
cure for #3 in the center during 2015 is called a “pai nan jie fen”. Check
www.fengshuiweb.co.uk/advice/flyingstars2015.htm for this.
#4 Green: in NW. This is an auspicious star in Period 8 and harmonious during 2015. This star
governs romance, travel, creative and academic/educational/self development, wisdom and
intelligence. Peach blossom energy can also occur for relationships and career in 2015. Add
flowers (particularly blue or green), 4 stalks of lucky bamboo, or leafy, green plants. Add some
blue to offices or bedrooms. A “still” water feature is favorable for 2015. Avoid adding metal
and/or moving water to the NW for 2015. Nice placement for Mandarin ducks or a dragon
headed tortoise to enhance romance. To enhance academics, add a calligraphy set or an abacus
in the favorable compass directions. Omit the fire element and red, pink or purple and heavy
metal. A main door in this sector can bring in new opportunities and lots of travel.
#5 Yellow: is in the West for 2015, along with the Three Killings (232-5 – 307.5): A
challenging, unstable area in 2015, although it is restrained by the “natural” metal element

of the West. Keep this area quiet for 2015 …no major renovations or disturbances. This is a
volatile star and it has a malevolent influence when disturbed. It brings disaster, lawsuits,
sickness and major loss of wealth. In 2015 use plenty of good quality metal. Cleanse your cures
from last year prior to putting them in place. Stillness and metal cures keep this in check. Place
the salt water cure and metal objects here: 6 rod wind chime, a pendulum clock, 6 Chinese
coins, round metal objects, brass wu lou, brass dragon (for bedrooms), metal decorations,
gray, white and gold colors. If your main door is here, hang a bagua mirror. A 5-Element
Pagoda filled with earth is also good. Omit noise and renovations here this year. Omit red and
minimize the Fire element (i.e. candles, bright lights). White, silver, gold and copper are helpful
additions. Dark blue and black can also be used. Grey, blue and white are great temporary colors
in bedrooms located in this sector. Cleanse all cures from previous years. Replace the Salt Water
cure annually. Replace or cleanse your bagua mirror if you have one here outside your front door.
A traditional annual cure for the Three Killings is to place the Three Celestial/Divine Guardians
in this sector, facing the direction: a Pi Yao (wealth protector), a Fu Dog (protection against
accidents, and a Chi Lin (Chinese unicorn to protect relationships).
#6 White: in NE. This is a compassionate money star and it is usually well positioned for career,
wealth, politicians, leaders and anyone in the jewelry business. During 2015, the Sui Po is also
located here and can bring problems if disturbed. So keep the NE quiet for 2015. Avoid
groundbreaking and renovations in this sector for 2015. This is an excellent sector for a goldencolored pi yao sitting on a Dragon & Phoenix I Ching coin placed facing the SW, or a
golden Buddha. Keep main doors and offices in this area as quiet as possible. If your bedroom is
here, add some blue or black to enhance health. The annual #6 star located in a bedroom can
aggravate problems with throat, legs, breathing (esp. with eldest male). Use water colors, blue,
black, gray or charcoal. A blue painting, but not a water scene, is beneficial here. Quartz crystal
and round faceted crystal spheres are beneficial in this sector for 2015.
#7 Red: in South. Star #7 is a fading star and it is a negative influence in Period 8. Balance the
energies for protection against legal issues, arguments, disputes, robbery, deception, copyright
theft, gossip, backstabbing and loss of wealth. Affiliated health problems are related to the lungs,
asthma, and COPD. If your office is here, beware of unscrupulous people working against you.
Check smoke alarms and electronics. Add blue, gray, black or charcoal. Omit Earth, Fire,
red, candles, quartz crystals, metal wind chimes. Take precautions and extra security
measures if you have a main door here in 2015. Hang a bagua mirror with a Chinese coin on
the rear side for added protection this year and remove valuables from sight of passers-by. Quartz
crystal is beneficial in this sector for 2015.
#8 White: in North. This is the governing star for Period 8. It brings good fortune and wealth;
the energy must be activated though. Treat as primary wealth area. Can activate this area
with moving water. fresh flowers, Quartz and amethyst crystals, crystals spheres, a red
three-legged toad (with a coin in its mouth) with its head facing inside, rose quartz Mandarin
Ducks (for romance), a double carp statue or figurine. Add some Fire colors and omit heavy
metal (even though Metal/Water supports Water/North). Crystals, Amethyst are beneficial for
bedrooms located in the north sector in 2015 to strengthen Earth element that governs Star #8.
#9 Purple: in SW. This is the star of future wealth. Career opportunities and promotions are
probable, particularly if you have an office or main door in the SW in 2015. This area is about
fame, acknowledgement, growth and improvement. Include leafy green plants, blue
flowering plants such as violet, hang three I Ching coins tied with a mystic knot and tassel
on the wall or over a cash register (to weaken the monthly 2 and 5 stars that fly in), a gold
abacus, six Chinese coins,

The Grand Duke resides in the SW in 2015 in compass position 202.50 – 217.50. Confronting
the Grand Duke results in defeat, demotion, loss, and obstacles. Avoid sitting facing this sector.
It is preferable to sit with your back to this sector. Avoid renovations in this compass sector
during 2014. If your building faces this sector do not renovate this year. Do not disturb the
ground facing the 202.50 – 217.50 sector during 2015. If you do, hang a 6-rod metal wind chime
and select an auspicious date to begin.
Outside Water for 2015 ... Place in SW or East. Omit water in the NE until 2024.
Indoor Water for 2015… Moving water or an aquarium in the South or SW can work well.
