Local store 2. Access to remote store [NEC] confused about what “stored locally/ stored remotely” means [ALU] Is remote – external to the M2M System? Is so I think you have 2 requirements; if not I don’t believe remote/local is relevant. [ALU] Is same information the values along with the metadata? Sounds like its only the metadata and not the actual values but what about links… [SDS]: OK, and also OK with Intel’s comment. X-02 [LGE proposal] The M2M System shall provide capabilities to manage semantic information (e.g., creating, retrieving, updating, deleting). X-03 The M2M System shall support associating/linking semantic information with corresponding local or remote resources X-04 [SDS] NEW1 [SDS] NEW2 X-05 [Intel] Is it “support capabilities….” or is it “support publishing, retirieving etc.” [ALU] What is the context for publishing how is this different from CRUD? [SDS]: OK, and also OK with LG’s comment. [Intel] Delete “which may be stored….” [ALU] Same comments about remote/local [SDS] Ok [SDS] Ok The M2M System shall support semantic formats in which the semantic information can be represented regardless of the location of the information. The M2M System shall support semantic formats for representing and publishing semantic information of applications (e.g. title, version, related devices). The M2M System shall have the capability to provide translation, association and abstraction © 2012 oneM2M Partners [Intel] What formats does M2M System support? Have we agreed on these? [ALU] Not sure what we are asking. Are we saying we want to provide the Page 2 (of 3) 106743993 Req Number Comments/support Text functionality between all the semantic formats (e.g. XML, JSON) supported. capability to exchange semantic information with external systems where the semantic information is represented in a format different than the oneM2M system? [NEC] what is the requirement? If the M2M Solution supports RDF and OWL does it mean that if an ontology is provided as OWL then semantic queries based on RDF should be possible ?? [SDS]: Sematic information and semantic format need some clarification. X-06 X-07 The M2M System shall support parsing [ALU] Is this a “runtime” requirement to invoke the semantic functionality? and interpreting of semantic [SDS] Ok information. The M2M System shall support mechanisms for automatic semantic information updates to local and remote resources. [Intel] Already covered by 01 & 02 [ALU] Same for remote/local as 1. [ALU] So is applying new semantics to resources? [SDS] Ok X-08 The M2M System shall support content-based services by leveraging semantic information awareness. [Intel] Need more information. Should this be limited to leveraging semantic info – is that the only mechanism for being content-aware? [NEC] What do you call “content-based services”, “semantic information awareness”? X-09 The M2M System shall provide support for mechanisms which supply or link semantic information to resources initially lacking them. © 2012 oneM2M Partners [Intel] Is this covered by 02? [ALU] How is different linking/associating? [SDS] Ok Page 3 (of 3)
