Luzmira Zerpa Trio
WHAT: A FREE 2 day singing/vocal workshop led by professional
musicians and members of The Luzmira Zerpa Trio (Live Music Now!)
WHERE: Buckland Abbey (NT)
WHEN: August 5th and 6th 2008
WHO FOR: A group of 25 x 10 - 12 year olds (From year 5, 6 and 7 - one
of the project aims is to assist transition)
There are also 2 places available for nominated Youth Leaders (15 - 16
year olds)
Workshop places are FREE for 10 – 12 year olds (and youth leaders)–
but places are LIMITED and in DEMAND so please spread the word as
to be sure of a place bookings need to be made fast and are on a first
come first served basis.
Luzmira
The Luzmira Zerpa Trio combine the styles of traditional Venezuelan and
Cuban music, with influences from classical music and jazz. They promote
some of the finest composers and song writers of Latin America with an
exciting and dynamic performance style.
LuzmiraZerpa (vocals, cuatro, hand percussion) comes from an immensely
rich musical lineage. She was born in Sanare, a small town in the Venezuelan
Andes and gotinvolved in Venezuelan folk music from an early age. Luzmira
has enchanted audiences across Europe with her powerful voice and stage
presence, accompanying herself on traditional instruments, such as the
cuatro. Performances include London’s Barbican and the Royal Academy of
Music among others. worlds finest musicians such as Alirio Diaz, the legendary
master of classical guitar and Pavel Steidl, world class guitarist from the Czech
Republic.

audiovoice is a programme of seven intensive workshop experiences
based around song and creativity, for 10 – 12 year olds to be held in
seven different National Trust locations in Cornwall and West Devon, in
school holidays and weekends from February 08 - March 2009. Please
