NJABA seeks to provide its members with conference content that educates attendees and invigorates scholarly behavior analytic work in New Jersey. To that end, presentation proposals on conceptual, experimental, and applied behavior analysis are desired; including research studies, technical presentations, and case studies. Presentations A presentation is 90 minutes in duration, presented by one or more individuals, that discusses previous and current research on topics of applied significance. Presentations may focus on a single research study or multiple studies, but must be focused on a single topic. Presentation formats consistent with ABAI conferences (i.e., Symposia, Addresses or Papers, and Panel Discussions) are invited. Presenters must provide empirical evidence to support their assertions and be able to defend their position based on that evidence. A minimum of one presenter must have a Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in applied behavior analysis and be able to provide credentials upon request. Please include a presentation title, presenter(s) names and degree(s), brief bios for each presenter, an abstract, and a discussant (if applicable). Please indicate format type (i.e., Symposia, Addresses or Papers, and Panel Discussions) and provide contact information for the presentation chair. Posters Poster presentations are visual reports of empirical research that are 30” x 40” in size and are similar to a compressed research paper written in APA style. Posters must present data-based work and as such, should include a graph and/or tables depicting research results. Posters should be able to stand alone without explanation, but presenters must present their posters during their assigned session. Handouts are not required, but are recommended. Posters are encouraged to cover a range of areas related to ABA. NJABA encourages graduate students and researchers who wish to present and discuss their current research while receiving feedback from professionals in the field of applied behavior analysis to submit a poster proposal. Please include a poster title, area of behavior analysis addressed, an abstract, author(s), and contact information. Continuing Education All proposals (except posters) will be considered for BACB, NJDOE, and APA continuing education credits. Not all proposals will be accepted. Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated to ensure that they are behavior analytic in nature, include data to support all assertions, provide a clear and detailed description of all methods and procedures, and provide evidence of appropriate measurement procedures. Submit your presentations by November 27, 2013 to proposals@njaba.org. FOR UPDATES PLEASE VISIT THE NJABA WEB PAGE AT WW.NJABA.ORG
