2014 SEMEN FREEZING FEES

SEMEN TEST FEE
$550.00 per stallion
Includes multiple collections to “flush out” dead sperm. Initial testing and freezing to establish the most
suitable processing and freezing media for the individual stallion as well as training to the phantom mare.
COLLECTION FEE THEREAFTER
$155.00 ea collection
Each time the stallion is collected this fee applies. He is collected either using a phantom or a live mare.
If this semen is suitable it is then processed ready for freezing.
FREEZING FEE
$160.00ea freeze
This fee only applies if the semen collected is suitable and can be used for the freezing process. It
includes post thaw motility, progressive motile, count and ph testing.
DOSE FEE
$25.00 ea
ONE 5ml STRAW = ONE DOSE - there is enough semen in one straw for a pregnancy, but we do recommend that
you allow two straws (2 doses) per mare. OR SIX . 5ml STRAWS = ONE DOSE
Once the initial testing is completed and we are satisfied the quality of the stallions semen meets our standards, we
then start collecting semen every 48 hours, processing and freezing each collection until the required number of
doses is achieved.
The number of collections required to achieve the number of doses of semen you order is determined by the
concentration, volume and progressive live sperm per collection. This does vary from stallion to stallion and cannot
be determined until the test freezing is completed.
In some cases if a large number of doses is required the stallion will often start of producing more doses per
collection and then gradually settle down to 1 or 2 doses less per collection then he started out producing.

STALLION AGISTMENT
Each stallion paddock is a great size with adequate room to exercise with 2m height steel post and rail
fencing with fully enclosed rubber lined stable.
2 hard feeds plus hay per day

An Example of a stallion semen freezing costing: Let’s say you would like 28 doses of frozen
semen and your stallion gives us 7 doses per collection-:
