BPCC Trainer’s Agenda
Introduction
This agenda provides a comprehensive outline for the order and content of the
required 2-day training for members of Bullying Prevention Coordinating
Committees (BPCC). Activities and slides marked with an asterisk (*) are optional.
We urge you to use all other items as presented here, as they have proven
successful in helping schools implement the OBPP with fidelity. The BPCC will
depend upon information you cover in this session to train their school staff.
Although you may have creative ideas for engaging participants, we strongly advise
you not to eliminate information or activities, substantially alter the sequence
shown here, or add information from other bullying prevention programs to this
training. You will provide additional information, support and materials as part of
your monthly consultations with the BPCC. Please refer to your Pre-Training
Consultation Checklist Trainer’s Manual [TM] Tab 11, Doc. 11) for information
about needed preparation prior to this training.
For optimal use of your training time, we urge you to assign “Recognizing the
Many Faces of Bullying” (Schoolwide Guide [SWG] CD Doc. 1, Teacher Guide
[TG] pp. 9-30) to all BPCC participants to read prior to the training.
Slide numbers in this agenda correspond to slides in the Olweus BPCC Training
PowerPoint Presentation provided on the Trainer’s Only Website, under TM Tab 2,
Doc. 1. This slide show includes Notes Pages with talking points to assist you as a
trainer. For easy reference during trainings, print out all slides with Notes Pages.
These Notes Pages are for OBPP Certified Trainer use only and are not intended as
handouts.
A separate BPCC Training Agenda Handout for BPCC members (TM Tab 11, Doc. 3)
follows the sequence of this agenda, which can be personalized with the location
and dates of your training.
All times in the BPCC Trainer’s Agenda are approximate and are based on 6 hours
of training time plus 1- 1 ¼ hour of breaks (including lunch) per day. You will need
to adjust the training activities and times based on the actual amount of time
available during your 2-day training.
