Description of course objectives: This course focuses on learning different techniques
that are used in water exercise. This will include Interval Training, Strength Training,
noodle workouts, and use of aqua joggers. There will be some deep-water work; if there
are any non-swimmers, modification will be made so that you may still participate. Other
objectives are to become aerobically fit, exercise, and have fun.
Pre-requisite(s): None. This is an introductory course. If you think you have an
advanced skill, immediately see the instructor. On discretion of the instructor, a student
may be dropped from the course because the content is not appropriate.
Entrance to Klotsche/Pavilion (if applicable): Students must have their student ID card
for entrance.
Grading Policies: Grades are based on completing the type of exercise on a given day,
and since this is a water class attendance is a factor. Each class is weighted as 3 points,
short assigned paragraph 10 points.
Attendance and exercise completion = 90%
Writing assignment = 10%

Attendance requirements: Any student who does not participate in classes cannot
expect to satisfactorily complete course objectives and therefore should consider dropping
the course.

Definition of a credit hour: This is a 1 credit course. Students are expected to invest
approximately 3 + hours per week in class activities. This includes class participation,
lectures and outside assignments.
