He was born in Naples on August 1, 1971.

In 2000 he obtained a degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences from the University of

Florence.

In 2004 he obtained a doctorate degree in Science of the Soil and Climatology following the

Forestry and Environmental Sciences of the University of Florence.

In 2006 he obtained a first degree University Master in Applied Meteorology of the

University of Florence.

Main scientific working experiences

From March 2014 until now he is a temporary Researcher of the Institute of Biometeorology of the National Research Council.

From January 2010 to January 2014 he was a temporary Researcher of the Department of

Plant, Soil and Environmental Science and of the Department of Agrifood Production and

Environmental Sciences - University of Florence.

From 2005 to 2009 he was an University Research Collaborator of the Interdepartmental

Centre of Bioclimatology (CIBIC) with the administrative seat at the Department of Plant,

Soil and Environmental Science (DISAT) of the University of Florence.

In 2008 he was involved as a scientific consultant during the scientific expedition at the

Everest Base Camp in Nepal for the Scientific Project HIGH altitude CArdiovascular

REsearch (HIGHCARE). This project was coordinated by the University of Milan

(Bicocca), The Institute for Auxology in Milan, and by the University of Florence.

Outer member of the Commission for the State Government conclusive Exams of the

Courses of Study of Instruction Secondary Superior, Academic Year 2007/2008. The subject matter assigned to me was: “Aeronautic Meteorology and Training” Istituto Dante Alighieri

– c/o I.T. Aeronautico non Stat. “Lindbergh Fly”.

In 2007 he took place a Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) in Oulu (Finland) in the field of the COST action 730 titled “Towards a Universal Thermal Climate Index UTCI for

Assessing the Thermal Environment of the Human Being”. COST STSM Reference

Number: COST-STSM-730-1681.

In 2007 he was a Scientific Advisor in the area of interest of the COST 730 action titled

“Towards a Universal Thermal Climate Index UTCI for Assessing the Thermal

Environment of the Human Being” in Sofia (Bulgaria).

In 2006 he had a Collaboration with the Foundation for Climate and Sustainability (FCS).

He carried out studies on clothing comfort (TESSITURA Project).

In 2006 he collaborated to the Project “The realization of a biometeorological and bioclimatological information service to the healthcare professions and the population” at

the Department of Plant, Soil and Environmental Science (DISAT) of the University of

Florence.

In 2006 he had a collaboration at the Institute of Biometeorology (IBIMET) of the National

Research Council. In this context he carried out biometeorological studies with particular references to the clothing comfort research. Studies on termophisiological monitoring system by using a model of a local comfort for clothing (the ISATEM Project) were carried out. Moreover, there were collected the measurement data of clothing comfort for the

LAMMA-TEST Project.

In 2005 and 2006 he participated as a Scientific Consultant to the scientific expedition promoted by the University of Florence and the University Bicocca of Milan to study the reactions of the human body in conditions of hypoxia and performing environmental and microclimatic monitoring of the human body at high altitudes (at the Capanna Margherita mountain hut at 4554m a.s.l).

In 2001 he had a collaboration with Ce.S.I.A. (Center for the Agricolture Application and

Information Study). In particular, he was involved in data collection and elaboration. These data were used to make analyses with the particular reference to the urban environment.
