Using the menus & catalogs

[MATH] = This results in a display of several options for calculations:
MATH = fractions to/from decimals, cube, cube root, xth root, min/max, etc.
NUM = absolute value, LCM, greatest common denominator
CPX = complex number calculations
PRB = probability (random numbers, permutations, combinations, etc.)

This is a ABC listing of all processes available for you to use on the calculator.

Once you find the process you wish to use, press [ENTER].
That process will appear – and further data can be entered to perform process.

Entering an expression

You can enter various combinations of numbers, variables, operations, and functions.
Use the keypad to enter digits 0-9. Use the keypad to enter operations: +/-/x/÷
Use various other keys, or [MENU] to find/use other functions.
Press [ENTER] to evaluate your entered expression.
If an ERROR is returned, you may GO TO and repair, or QUIT.

Graphing

Press [Y=] button under screen on left side to add/edit/enter/remove any equations.
Enter equation, such as [ALPHA] [STO>] [+] [4] . . . . “Y1 = 6X + 4”
Set screen window by Pressing [WINDOW] . . . The most commonly used window is:
~ Xmin = -10, Xmax = 10, Xscl = 1, Ymin = -10, Ymax = 10, Yscl = 1 (adjust all as needed)
Press [GRAPH] to view a graph of the equation.
Press [TRACE] while viewing a graph to trace the values, listed at screen bottom.
Press [ZOOM] to zoom in or zoom out in viewing the graph.
Press [2nd] [GRAPH] to view the data in table/tabular format.
*** “Y1 = 6X + 4” – Graph, view table, zoom, set window, trace this equation.
