Market Research Analyst
The Market Research Analyst is principally responsible for interpreting data, formulating reports and making
recommendations based upon the research findings. Tracks own and competitive brand imagery and marketplace
performance and steward results to the marketing team and sales organization. Conducts analysis as required to
address ad hoc business questions and issues. In addition, the Market Research Analyst will assist with analytics
(e.g., marketing mix modeling) and primary research studies with consumers and customers.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for designing, conducting, and managing market research studies regarding Delta
Systems' existing and proposed products and services as well as analyzing market trends, consumer
preferences, and Delta Systems market opportunities.
As part of the Delta Marketing team you will assist in identifying key opportunities to build brand awareness,
expand markets, drive sales and introduce the latest, most powerful technology to our customers.

Analyze and assess present and future needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities related to the marketing
and sales department.
Use data from information systems to support the development of marketing plans and evaluate the success
of marketing efforts.
Assist Marketing with communicating with end users, focus groups, industry leaders to understand and
document the business objectives
Conducting in-depth data analyses using traditional and advanced methods
Authoring reports containing actionable recommendations
Making presentations—answering questions and instilling confidence
BUSINESS AND STRATEGY DEVELOPEMENT 20%

Utilize strategic marketing processes to provide market segmentation analysis, consumer insights, needs
assessment, and technology scan with the ability to synthesize the information into a ""where to play""
portfolio in Core and Adjacent markets
MARKETING SUPPORT 10%

Participate in all aspects of marketing communications (i.e. collateral, sales sheets, trade shows, sales tool
kits, etc.) working internally to determine needs and externally with agency to develop strategy and
supporting products

Building and maintaining customer pipeline to assist with sales direction and business development

Use industry data to optimize and oversee internal Social Media campaigns
PEOPLE 10%

Works collaboratively across the System, including leadership, marketing, and engineering, to obtain the
data necessary for marketplace analysis and reporting.
Qualification/Requirements:












2-4 years' experience working with sales, marketing, operations, product marketing, and/or consulting within
a high-tech/manufacturing environment
1 to 3 years of industry/sector experience preferred outdoor power or recreational equipment
Bachelors degree in Marketing and or Business
Knowledge of a variety of different research methods; experience with online custom research a must
Strong writing skills; building a story from the data
Experience with multivariate techniques; conjoint analysis, key driver analysis
Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently
Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication abilities
Expertise with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Reports to the Product Marketing Manager
Some travel is Required
