BIP Platform Biotech Incubation Partners is now presenting the latest version of its powerful e-Procurement tool, the Biotech Internet Purchasing Platform (BIPP), a Software as a Service (SaaS) product, specifically developed for the automation of purchasing (laboratory & non-laboratory) materials & reagents needed in the Life Sciences sector. Features Starting to order products through the BIP Platform is very simple and immediate, without having to purchase extra software. A regular computer, internet login and a password is all you need. The advantages of the system are multiple: Personalized Online Catalogue Library & Search robot Through a simple keyword & one single request, each product can be searched for online, in all catalogues of all invited suppliers, who uniformly offer their products through BIPP. Paperless ordering The complete order flow (from the initial search, over the confirmation of the arrival of the ordered product, to the electronic receiving & recording of the corresponding invoice) can be processed through the e-Procurement system. Product prices Authorizations For each product the corresponding price is presented in three different ways: the standard list price, the reduced price as offered to the platform users and potentially the price as it has been negotiated, controlled & activated by the client. Each employee of the participant can search and order a product. However, the order will only be transferred to the supplier after the electronic approval by the responsible person(s) (project leader, head of department, purchase manager, etc). Additional authorizations can be made dependent on certain budget criteria. Track and Trace Templates can be created containing e.g. favorite requisitions per project, department, individual, or as Bill of Material of a finished product and can be shared for reordering purposes. Safety, Health and Environment The BIPP SHE module contains built-in information about legal requirements for Safety, Health & Environment, automatically providing relevant information to your systems, as well as information & management tools to all authorizing persons involved.involved. Dangerous goods Each time a product for which a special license is required needs to be ordered, the relevant safety officer will be notified automatically in order to take proper action. Optional: Pro-active follow-up of license requirements. The order Orders can be sent to the supplier by fax, e-mail or electronically. Reporting Cost centres The system allows the allocation of each ordered item or service to a specific cost centre, thereby enabling direct budget checks, budget reservations & detailed budget reporting. The user can (when authorized) draw an unlimited number of reports according to the variables he wishes to use, following up: “spend per user, per supplier, per project, …” ERP Receiving products Upon arrival, a product can be registered and assigned to the correct physical location so that everybody knows where to find it and that legally compliant storage & quality conservation can be guaranteed. All information and data processed through the BIPP system can be transferred from several anchor points to the participant's own ERP system (Navision, SAP, Oracle, ...) and/or internal accounting system or other management software. Interactive communication is bidirectional and in real time.
