Constitution of the "Fisher Follies Video Production"
Article l - Name, Purpose, and Non-Discrimination Policy of the Organization.
- Name: Fisher Follies Video Production
- The Fisher Follies Video Production organization is a student organization whose
purpose is to compose, film and exhibit video content for the annual Fisher Follies show
at The Fisher College of Business. Its members will participate in the creation of video
content intended to amuse, involve, mock and entertain members of the Fisher College
and greater OSU community.
- Non-Discrimination Policy: The Fisher Follies and its members shall not discriminate
against any individual(s) for reasons of age, color, disability, gender identity or
expression, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or veteran status
Article II - Membership: Qualifications and categories of membership.
 Voting membership of Follies Production is open to all currently enrolled
graduate and doctorate students of the Fisher College of Business, including but
not limited to the following programs: MBA, MLHR, MAcc, MBLE.
 In addition to voting members the participation of faculty, staff, and professionals
is welcomed and encouraged.
 There is no requirement of technical skills to participate, although any displayed
skills will be tapped and exploited.
 While being funny is not required of all general members of the Fisher Follies, it
is preferred. Having a sense of humor, however, is a requirement for
membership.
Article III - Organization Leadership:
The Fisher Follies Video Production organization shall be administered by a
steering committee consisting of one or more of the following:
o Producer: Responsible for the development and production of a video project.
This includes discovering scripts/stories, assembling crews, organizing
filming, and exhibiting the final product.
o Director: In charge of the overall creative vision of a project. Responsible for
approving scripts, actors, and editing.
o Camera Operator: Just as it sounds - operates the camera during filming. Also
responsible for developing the visual style of the project in conjunction with
Director, Producer, and anyone standing nearby at the time.
o Writer: In charge of scripting a story to be produced. May or may not be
available during the actual filming.
o Sound: Records sound during filming, responsible for audio quality and
associated equipment.
o Chief Lighting Technician: Colloquially known as the 'Gaffer', the CLT is in
charge of designing lighting scenarios, running the lighting crew, and
executing the Camera Operator/Director's visual vision.
o Best Boy: Everyone always asks about this - it's the 2nd in command of the
lighting crew.
o Editor: In charge of assembling filmed footage into a coherent storyline, under
the direction of the Director (imagine that).
Article IV – Adviser(s) or Advisory Board:
 The Fisher Follies Video Production organization will be advised by a full-time
member of the faculty or staff of the Fisher College of Business. The advisor’s
duty is to help facilitate the preparation and execution of the Follies Video's.
 The advisor of the Fisher Follies will act as a liaison to the rest of the faculty and
staff and facilities at the Fisher College of Business and should feel free to use
their stature within the College on our behalf.
Article VII – Meetings of the Organization:
 The steering committee for the Fisher Follies Video Production will meet
regularly to plan and organize the activities and shenanigans of the group.
 The general membership will meet as needed in order to prepare and execute
group initiatives including script writing, production, editing, and performance.
Article VIII – Method of Amending Constitution: Proposals, notice, and voting
requirements.
 The amending of the Fisher Follies Video Production Constitution may be
executed by the steering committee.
 In order to amend the Constitution, a member of the steering committee must
bring the amendment in writing to a meeting in which all steering committee
members are present. The amendment is to be read by the member who brought it
forth, discussed by the committee and then voted upon.
 In order for an amendment to be enacted a three quarter majority of the steering
committee must vote to approve it.
Article IX – Method of Dissolution of Organization
 Should the Fisher Follies, the show for which these videos are produced, cease
to exist, so shall the Video Production organization.
 Any projects in process shall remain the property of their respective creators,
and any physical assets shall be either donated to OSU, donated to a local
charity, or sold with the proceeds going to local charity.
