How to Get Started Finding Genealogical Data
The following pages have been complied from several of our members. They are by no
means the only sources of information available online, but they do give you some
references which may help you in your travels through your family tree.
The first two sites shown here offer tutorials on the basics of getting started with your
family research.
How to Start Your Family History? -- suggestions from the Family History Center of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon). The LDS has gathered and made
available to the public the most comprehensive collection of genealogical information in
the world.
Everton's Genealogical Helper - a major source of help, with tutorials, free databases,
subscriber services, CDROM's full of data for sale, etc. Slow loading due to extensive
graphics/decoration, but worth the wait.
