 Frozen Semen Straws: One straw priced at $1,000 USD must be paid in full before
cryobank transfer. Owner of Bitch must pay for all transfer and shipping fees to
Warner Vet Hospital. Owner of Bitch must have a board certified Repro Vet readily
available and experience in handling frozen semen straws and storage.
 On Site Breeding Services
We can provide artificial insemination of your female on our premises. Semen
inseminated will be guaranteed to be alive and motile. Accurate timing of the female's
cycle is crucial for success. Females staying in our home must come with their own
kennel/crate, leash & collar, and food.
 Fresh Cooled Semen
IMPORTANT CONTRACT INFORMATION: PLEASE READ!
We can ship fresh-chilled semen straight to your veterinarian. Cost will include stud fee
and appropriate shipping costs. Semen shipped from us will be guaranteed to be alive
and motile. If for some reason your veterinarian does not approve of the semen quality,
your female must not be inseminated with the semen and you must contact us the same
day of receipt of semen to inform us so we may arrange another shipment or offer a
different stud. However, if your veterinarian inseminates your female with the semen, ALL
guarantees from us are void and there will be no refund. Conception after live motile
semen delivery is the sole responsibility of the female's owner and veterinarian. Accurate
timing of the female's cycle and proper use of the semen is crucial for your success.
Instructions for Fresh Cooled Shipped Semen
Information we need to know:
When you will need the semen. We need to know the day prior so it can be shipped
overnight for next day morning delivery.
Which stud you intend to use.
The first day of your female's heat (if using a vet he can tell you what day the semen will
need to be inseminated).
Contact name, shipping address, and phone of whom the semen will be shipped.
A copy of your female's pedigree and photo for our records for filling out the breeder's
information for registration.
Stud fee payment is required in advance includes first shipment using Fedex Priority
Service @ $275 for each semen shipping box for the same female. We recommend
shipping 2 boxes one day apart for a higher chance of impregnating the bitch. Each
box will contain 2 tubes of semen. During collection we do add extender to enhance
the longevity and the motility of the semen. We cannot ship on Sundays, Holidays and
Saturday in some areas can only deliver on Mondays.
Please call as early as possible, so the semen can be sent out without delay. We will
need to know before 2:00 pm if you need semen for the next morning.
NOTE: Before shipping semen everything must be paid in full to ensure no delay on
shipment.
Motility analysis should always be performed on samples warmed to 37°C (chilled sperm
can appear non-motile or sluggish until warmed). Gently invert the sample tube several
times to mix. Using a pipette, place a drop of semen on a pre-warmed microscope slide
and cover with a pre-warmed cover slip.
If available, keep the slide on a slide warmer or a heated microscope stage for a few
minutes before
checking the motility under the microscope.
If your veterinarian does not approve of the semen quality, do not inseminate the female
(see breeding contract above for more information).
Preparing for Insemination
Gently invert the sample tube several times to mix.
If you chose to inseminate on two consecutive days, draw up half of the semen dose into
the insemination syringe and store the remaining sample in the refrigerator overnight.
(Divide the sample into two doses before warming. Do not warm the sample then re-cool
it.). You can warm the semen sample to be inseminated in your hand or pocket for a
few minutes.
Bitch owner agrees to the following to make this a successful breeding:
 Have the bitch progesterone tested prior to breeding and proof of levels.
 Have a License Veterinarian that specializes in Reproduction perform the Artificial
Insemination.
 Not have the Bitch near any other males while in heat.
 Feed the Bitch proper a diet during the pregnancy and give any vitamins needed if
recommended by a license Veterinarian
 Semen cannot be used on a bitch not named in this contract.
 Do one of the two options to confirm the breeding; ultrasound at 28+ days of
breeding or X-rays 55+ days from breeding. These procedures are needed in order to
qualify for a repeat breeding if female does not get pregnant.
 Have a license Veterinarian perform a C-section if complications arise during
whelping.
 Have a license Veterinarian teach you how to bottle feed incase a puppy is not
striving or milk let down is delaying.
 Notify the Stud Owner within 48 hours of the litter being born.
Definition of a litter: The Bitch owner must notify the stud dog owner when the litter is
born.
A litter consists of two puppies that live at least 72 hours. If no pups live past 72 hrs, a
return service will be provided by same stud if provided with Veterinarian
documentations of X-rays, number of puppies, pictures of deceased pups and
Veterinarian exam report.
Puppy with defects:
Any puppy born with genetic or congenital defects must be humanely euthanized by a
licensed veterinarian (example is cleft palate, sever heart murmur grader than 3/6, or
other external life threatening deformity).
No pregnancy: If the female is not pregnant, this should be confirmed by x-rays
immediately prior to the due date for the litter along with a vet report in order to qualify
for a repeat service via fresh cooled semen. Owner of the female is responsible for
additional shipping/collecting fees at the time of the repeat breeding.
UNDERSTANDING THE CONTRACT TERMS:
Buyer agrees that he/she has read the terms and conditions of this contract fully. This
contract is under the jurisdiction of the state of California in the county of Ventura. All
other states and counties are asked to please accept this contract legally binding and
enforceable
