Target Audience
This program has been designed for departmental/institutional faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, QA/CEQI
personnel, and administrators in the department of radiology.
Series Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
 Critically analyze new scientific advances in image acquisition, quantification, processing, visualization and
analysis to better design protocol and interpret exams
 Improve medical error identification and reporting for radiology using the PORTS system
 Apply dose reduction strategies to improve patient safety
Session Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
 Recall the natural history of anomalies considered for fetal therapy.
 Recap evolution of fetal surgery, including experimental milestones
 Cite the rationale for open fetal surgery vs. less invasive approaches as they pertain to select
congenital anomalies.
 Identify the maternal and fetal indications for fetal interventions including open fetal surgery, EXIT
procedure and fetoscopic procedures.
 Discuss the future of fetal therapy as it relates to contemporary laboratory research

It is policy at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania for individuals who are in a position to
