Option 1: Continuous monitoring for UDC.
Shuts down the pump OR
Stops the flow of the product at the dispenser when
a leak is detected in the UDC. AND
Continuous monitoring for the pressurized piping
located outside the UDC that is fail safe and shuts
down the pump when a leak is detected .AND
A line leak detector (mechanical or electronic) that
detects a 3 g/h release from the primary
containment.
Option 2: Continuous monitoring for both
pressurized piping and UDC that activates an
audible and visual alarm OR Stops the flow of the
product at the dispenser when a leak is detected.
AND
A line leak detector (mechanical or electronic) that
detects a 3 gph release from the primary
containment. AND
An annual piping test @ 0.1gph.
Emergency Generator: Continuous monitoring
for both pressurized piping and UDC that activates
an audible and visual alarm OR stops the flow of
product at the dispenser when a leak is detected.

Overfill Prevention
Check type
of system.
System alerts
transfer operator when
tank is 90% full by
restricting flow into
tank or triggering an
audible and visual
alarm. Does not allow
for manual override.
System provides
positive shut-off of flow to
tank when tank is filled to
no more than 95% of
capacity. Does not allow
for manual override.
Fill tube valve/flapper
External alarm
OR
Flow Restrictor
System restricts
delivery of flow to tank
at least 30 minutes before
tank overfill. Does not
allow for tank override.
Flow restriction occurs
when tank is 95% of
capacity, and activates
audible alarm five
minutes before tank
overfills.
System
provides positive
shut-off of flow to
tank so that none of
the fittings located
on top of the tank
are exposed to
product due to
overfilling. Does
not allow for
manual override.

Training conducted by UST service provider/manufacturers representatives.
Training provided by on-the-job-training.
Training provided by
Training plan is attached.
Facility personnel with UST monitoring responsibilities have been familiarized with
all aspects of monitoring the tank system at this facility and are familiar with the laws
and regulations.
Personnel responsible for maintaining UST monitoring records (i.e. logs, test
reports, etc. 0 have been instructed that most records must be maintained on site for a
minimum of three years, and some for 61/2 years.
Personnel responsible for performing visual or other inspections are trained to
document inspections in a thorough manner. They are trained to distinguish proper
equipment function, in proper procedures for reporting alarms, leaks equipment failure,
and other problems.
Certify by signing that
this has been
completed.
Date completed.
