Ms. Verner Attention AP Bio Students: in addition to the study sessions being offered next week, there will be five more review sessions this week from 3:00 to 4:30 PM in B120. Monday's focus will be animal physiology and transport in plants. Tuesday DNA/RNA and biotechnology. Wednesday, Cell Respiration and Photosynthesis, & Enzymes. Thursday, Immune system, homeostasis, osmoregulation. Friday, Sensory and motor systems. Study sessions will be open to both classes and AP Bio students taking the AP test independently. Mr. Howley We are now fine tuning all SFD stuff and so we have a mandatory meeting on Tuesday 4/26, at lunch in room B116. PTSA Academic Scholarship: criteria: 3.0 GPA or higher, record of good citizenship, participate in school activities, intent to attend a 4-year college or university. Deadline: Thursday, May 12, 2011 by 3:00 pm Civil Service Employees Insurance Company ‘s Youth Automobile Safety Scholarship Program Applicant must be a graduating high school senior and California resident, 3.0 GPA minimum, have been accepted to an accredited two- or fouryear college/university or trade school, the applicant’s parent or legal guardian must be currently employed full- time by or if retired or deceased, must have been employed full-time by a government entity. This definition of public employee includes, but is not limited to, peace officers; firefighters; educators; postal employees; military personnel; and federal, state and local government workers. Prerequisites for application: You must 1) be a graduate of Hillcrest School; 2) be a member of the 2011 graduating class; 3) plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college, university, or trade school in the fall of 2011.
