SPECIAL REGULATIONS
1.
In the event of any person placing horses in boxes or stalls or removing numbers without
authority, the horse will at once be removed from the Showground by order of the Ring
Committee.
2.
No stall or box shall be used other than for the animal for which it has been allocated to,
and in the event of a breach of this contract the Society may at any time re-allot the box to
another competitor.
3.
The allocation of stalls and feed rooms and the movement of horses and gear to and from
such stalls and rooms shall be under control of the Horse Superintendent.
4.
Exhibitors not following the instructions of the Horse Superintendent in relation to the above
may be barred from competing and the animals concerned must be removed from the
Showground forthwith.
5.
Horses will not be permitted on the grounds before Sunday 12th October.
6.
No entry is required for Champion prizes or for consolation events.
7.
In all judging of Reserve Champions, the horse which gained second place to the horse
awarded the Championship is eligible for Reserve Champion.
8.
Stallions cannot compete with Geldings or Mares in Hack or Riding Classes.
9.
National Show District includes – Alstonville, Bangalow, Bonalbo, Casino,
Grafton, Kyogle, Mullumbimby, Murwillumbah, Nimbin and Woodenbong.
10. Exhibits must enter by the Dunoon Road Gate.
11. Events will be carried out at the stipulated time, not withstanding the absence of any
exhibitor.
PLEASE NOTE: Competitors in ring events must have horses in the assembly yard not later than 15
minutes prior to the commencement of the roll call, which will take place five minutes before the
commencement of the event.

12.
Where second prizes are offered and two exhibits compete, it is the Judge’s discretion to
award the second prize.
13. Age of all horses to be completed from 1st August.
14. Where fewer than three entries are received in any class only 1st place prize money
is paid, over three entries – 2nd Place prize money will also be paid.
15. All horses competing on Saturday are to be shown in Grand Parade or owners
are liable to forfeit prizemoney – at the discretion of the Chief Ring Steward.
16 The society is not responsible for the non delivery of sponsor’s trophies

Owners and exhibits being tested are requested to provide their own harness.
18 No ribbon other than those awarded at the 2008 North Coast National Exhibition to be
exhibited in the parades.
19 Competitors age, as at the day of the event. (See Show Jumping regulation for Junior
Competitors)
20 Please Note: Lismore Showground is now outside the Cattle Tick Protected Area:
Competitors should check with their RLPB for any movement restrictions.
21 A limited number of stalls are provided. Please complete the stall application form and
return to the show office by the advertised date. Yards available at no charge.
22 All special prizes are subject to Committee’s approval.
23 All exhibits must be presented in Show Condition to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
24 The Committee has the right to alter the program or type of event if considered necessary.
25 The Senior Stewards in charge of judging rings in Section One are empowered with the
approval of the Chief Ring Steward to exclude any competitor without explanation.
26 All Colts & Stallions, irrespective of age must be on Show in a Halter equipped with a
restraining Chain or Bit, and must be under proper control at all times.
27 Horses to be measured at the Stewards Discretion.
28 Signed application form must be completed and returned to enable the Society to know the
number of horses for future mailing list for schedules.
29 Tickets for entry to all events will be sold each day of the Exhibition from the Ring Control
Office (not Show Secretary’s office). No refunds and no Competitor may enter an event
without a ticket.

Prize Money: Horse events – Prize Money must be collected on the day of the event and
will be paid from the Ring Control Office. Payment only issued on presentation of single
voucher from ring stewards. Show Jumping paid at Secretary’s Office up to 5 pm each day
with the exception of Saturday when prize money must be collected immediately after the
last event. No prize money paid after 1st November, 2008.
31 Please apply for Caravan/Camping Space when making stall application. Camping Fee
$27.50 per week, $11 per night incl. GST. Money must accompany application.
32 All bedding requirements to be supplied by exhibitor eg sawdust or similar material.
NO STRAW ALLOWED.
33 All dogs brought onto grounds must be under strict control and will be the responsibility of
the owner.
34 Horses showing any type of tick will not be allowed on the grounds, (including grass ticks)
See 20 of regulations.
35 Novice Hack – must not have won an Open Champion award at an Agricultural Show or 1st
Prize at a Royal Show in a Hack event or champion at a HOTY show.
36 Intermediate Hack – must not have won a open first at a Royal or a champion at a HOTY
show in a open hack event.
37 All competitors must be suitably attired for their events.
38 As requested by our insurer, all exhibitors must sign Indemnity/Waiver or in the case of
under 18yrs of age, a parent or guardian must sign.
39 All Prize Money 1st - $10, 2nd - $5
40 Ribbons presented to 4th place.
41 Headgear appropriate to the event in which you are competing must be worn.
42 Saturday – The winner of the Champion for individual rings is not eligible to compete in any
further Rings.
Post Entries All Classes – except Cattle Dog Trials and Champion Of Champions.
Entry Fee: $3.30 (includes GST) per entry unless otherwise stated.

Peggie Fryer whom herself was an extremely talented horseperson and a loyal committee person of the
North Coast National A & I Society for many, many years. And as we all came to love the voice behind the

SHOWJUMPING $6800 Prizemoney
Showjumping Regulations: Contestants are requested to forward performances of A
& B Grade Horses and any personal performances for publicity purposes. Competitors will
be permitted to enter their horses on the day of the event. All competitors MUST forward
names and registration number of each show jumping horse on stall application (Page 2).
No prize money will be paid until registration card is presented to Stewards. This rule will
be strictly enforced. Prize money to be collected from Secretary’s Office on presentation
of voucher issued by Stewards before 5.00pm each night. The Show jumping events at
the 2008 Exhibition will be conducted under F.E.I regulations in conjunction with the
applicable special Society rules. ENTRY FEES to be paid when accepted each morning.
See Page 2 for application for camping/stables etc. Competitors may take part in
competition of juniors from the beginning of the calendar year they reach 12 yrs until end
of calendar year they reach 18yrs. Junior competitors 16yrs and over must be registered
with the E.F.A to compete in senior events. All competitors must appear in clean hunting
costume in show jumping events (business shirt & tie), hard hats must be worn approved
under A.S. 3838

The committee reserves the right to alter or vary any clause or event in this programme and to
make any investigation it deems necessary concerning eligibility of any horse or rider or withhold
any prizemoney if necessary until enquiries are finalised. Entry refunds will only be made at the
discretion of the committee and must be made in writing. Scratching after Sunday 14th October
will forfeit cattle levy. Any complaints are to be lodged with the committee within one hour of
incident. A non refundable fee of $20 is to accompany complaints. No competitor will be allowed
to compete without a completed waiver signed by themselves or their legal guardian.
