Training Programme

Candidates sponsored for assistant ministry will normally train on a course
Candidates for OLM/local ministry will normally train on an OLM scheme, a
local ministry pathway, or on an approved pathway through a course or
college.
6/7
cont’d
The cost to Vote 1 for a candidate’s training should not exceed the cost of the
standard training allowed within the band. Taking, for example, an assistant
minster who will normally train on a course - if the candidate’s points score falls in
Band 3, this would give them a training allocation of 9 terms on a course. Should
a different training pathway be thought appropriate, the cost to Vote 1 should not
exceed the cost of 9 terms on a course.
The cost to Vote 1 of 2 terms on a course is roughly equivalent to 1 term in a
college. This is intended as a guide for those wishing to put together a pathway
which combines course and college training.
When completed please return, along with the candidate’s Sponsoring Papers, to:
Ministry Division, Church House, Great Smith, London SW1P 3AZ.
