Doors open at 2:00 p.m. – Tickets Required, No Tickets will be sold at the Door.
Students receive four (4) free tickets. Additional tickets are on sale in the Activities
Office until May 24th for $10.00 each CASH ONLY.
MAY 31, 2013 – D(ecision) DAY - (Very Important Day)
Will determine the commencement participation status for all seniors at CHS. After final
student grades are entered, the graduation participation list will be posted by 4:00 p.m. All
fines must be paid to the library before noon. Books, uniforms, equipment and Behavior
Codes must be turned in before noon. Any senior who has not satisfactorily completed these
graduation participation requirements and not completed all courses with passing grades will
not be allowed to participate in the commencement ceremony.
CAP & GOWN DISTRIBUTION
Cap & Gown pick-up is on May 31st, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Student Store for students who preordered their Cap & Gown. If you have not already purchased your Cap & Gown, they will be
available for sale for $75.00 CASH ONLY. They will not be available any other day. Go to the
window labeled “Sales”. Graduates must purchase a new Cap & Gown from Herff Jones. Only cap
& gown distributed by the Chino High School Class of 2013 are allowed to by worn in the
commencement ceremony. Previous years’ gowns will not match. The cap & gown packet
includes a cap, gown, tassel and graduate medallion. No decoration or embellishment on the
cap or gown is allowed.
THE CEREMONY
The key word is ‘dignified’. Please help CHS faculty, staff, and security make this CHS ceremony
memorable and special. To avoid disruption of the special occasion, please plan to attend the entire
ceremony. Citizens Business Bank Arena policy is: NO NOISE MAKERS, POSTERS, BALLOONS,
COW BELLS, ETC. THESE ITEMS WILL BE CONFISCATED AT THE ENTRANCE GATE.
ARENA SECURITY WILL CONFISCATE ANY DEVICES USED DURING THE CEREMONY.
GRADUATION VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHERS
A professional DVD of the ceremony is available for purchase at the Activities Office. Professional
“Handshake” photographs will be taken as each graduate receives his/her diploma. NO ONE IS
ALLOWED ON THE FLOOR DURING THE CEREMONY OR ANY OTHER TIME TO FILM,
PHOTOGRAPH OR CONGRATULATE STUDENTS. Photo envelopes are available in the Activities
Office beginning in April.
GRADUATION TICKETS
Each graduate receives four (4) free tickets. All individuals must have a ticket regardless of age.
Extra graduation Tickets are for sale for $10.00 each in the Activities office until May 24th, CASH
ONLY. All graduation tickets will be distributed to the seniors following mandatory rehearsal on
Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Any remaining tickets will be sold at ticket distribution CASH ONLY on
Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in the Student Store or Activities Office.
SENIOR GRAD NITE
Grad Nite is for Chino High Seniors ONLY and takes place on June 7, 2013. Tickets must be
purchased and authorization forms completed for graduates. This is the day AFTER Graduation.
Buses board at 3:15 p.m. in front of the gym. Students must arrive at 3:00 p.m. PHOTO
IDENTIFICATION IS REQUIRED TO BOARD THE BUS. Ticket Sales will be announced in Spring
2013 by CHAPSS. Watch the website or bulletin @ chinohigh.chino.k12.ca.us.
DIPLOMA DISTRIBUTION
Diplomas will be distributed in the Records Office beginning June 24, 2013 (ID and student
signature required to pick up Diploma).

GRAD INFO: Graduates must arrive at 1:30 p.m. at the arena holding area with picture ID only. No cell phones, purses,
flowers, leis, ets.
Cap & Gown REQUIRED and must be worn to the arena– Men are required to
wear dress pants, collared button-up shirt and dress shoes. Sport coat is optional.
Women are required to wear a nice dress, shirt and blouse or dress pants and
dress shoes. Hairpins are recommended for cap. No decoration on Cap or Gown.
The students may only wear CHS issued Cap & Gown and stoles or cords.
GUEST INFO: Gates/Doors will open at 2:00 p.m. for guests.
Arena Parking – City of Ontario Parking Fee $10.00.
Entrance into arena is by ticket only. All individuals over the age of 1 year old
must have a ticket. Seating is on a first come basis.
AUDIENCE IS NOT ALLOWED ON FLOOR AT ANY TIME.
