A third party nominator of a site owned by a city or a county must provide a notice of nomination must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the city, town or county in which the property is located. Publication costs are the responsibility of the nominator. An original copy of the notice and an affidavit of publication signed by the publisher must be attached to this application. 2. A current photograph or slide of the property and any associated outbuildings and structures, a brief description of the property, a brief statement of significance, and a current boundary description (legal description or lot and block number) must be attached to this application. Note: Private landowners will receive a copy of the State Archeological Landmark form for signature prior to nomination. Furthermore, I understand that, in accordance with Section 191.097 of the Antiquities Code of Texas, the committee may remove the designation of State Archeological Landmark from the site if it is determined that such designation is no longer warranted.
