THE HONG KONG JOCKEY CLUB EQUESTRIAN PAVILION Fact Sheet Objective The Equestrian Pavilion has been purpose-built by The Hong Kong Jockey Club to enhance the community’s understanding of equestrian sports and the Beijing 2008 Olympics, and create excitement for the Olympic equestrian events to be held in Hong Kong next year. The Club is also planning to establish Penfold Park as a hub of equestrian activities to commemorate Hong Kong's role as one of the co-host cities of the Olympics. General Programmes In addition to the indoor exhibition, displays of equestrian jumping fences and a judging hut will be set up outdoors for photo-taking. There will also be photo-taking opportunities with the Club’s Shetland ponies outside the Pavilion.
