The Stanley L. Archer Memorial Award
The Undergraduate Office wishes to inform you of the Dr. Stanley L. Archer Memorial
Award. It is for the best paper written in response to an assignment in an Early Modern,
Renaissance, or Shakespeare class (e.g., ENGL 312, 314, 315, 316, 317, 412, 414, or
appropriate 390, 415, or 481) by a student at TAMU during the spring or fall 2013
semester. If a paper of suitable quality is found, the winner will receive a certificate of
recognition at the Department’s annual Lewis Lecture, as well as a check for $500 and a
brief biography of Dr. Stanley Archer.
Undergraduate students who wish to enter should submit a clean copy of their paper (no
professor’s marks or comments), with a cover page indicating the name of the course and
professor for whom the paper was written, date/term, and name and UIN of the submitter.
The student’s name should be removed from all pages except the cover page.
Entries should be emailed to Tammy Whisenant (t021325w@tamu.edu) by 5:00p.m. on
February 7, 2014.
