Monday---Unit 13B Lesson 1
Class will review spellings, sounds, and skywrite the r-blends that have
already been covered: tr, cr, br, fr, dr, and gr.
Review: Teacher will place worksheet 13-67 (fr words) under the document
camera. Students will practice finger spelling these words. Then teacher will
tap and sweep under the letters in each word while the students read each
word again. Teacher will also place worksheet 13-47 under the document
camera (sentences containing fr words). Students will practice reading these
sentences a couple of times on the worksheet using finger spelling if needed
for phonetic words and arm tapping for sight words if needed.
Teacher will place worksheet 13-69 (dr words) under the document camera.
Students will practice finger spelling these words. Then teacher will tap and
sweep under the letters in each words while the students read each word
again. Teacher will also place worksheet 13-49 under the document camera
(sentences containing dr words). Students will practice reading these
sentences a couple of times on the worksheet using finger spelling if needed
for phonetic words and arm tapping for sight words if needed.

words: frog, fresh, drip, dress, drag, drink, grab, grin, grill, grass.
Teacher will display the blend pr. Teacher will then model the skywriting of
pr, saying sounds while tracing letter in the air and pulling under the letters
and stirring around letters saying the blend sound /pr/. Students will skywrite
/pr/ 3 times.
Teacher will model for students while placing her worksheet 13-35 (r-blend
bowl) under the document camera where to place the r-blend pr in the bowl.
Students will do so on their worksheet 13-35 that the teacher will pass out.

up with Spelling Test on top line and name and date on the next line: prim,
press, prop, prank, thrill, throb, thrash, shrink, shrimp, shrill.
Teacher will place the story, “The Shrill Yell!” under the document camera.
Students will practice reading the story a couple of times using finger
spelling if needed for phonetic words and arm tapping for sight words. Class
will also discuss the story. A copy of the story will be sent home for reading
homework practice.
