Princeton Winter Carnival Cardboard Sled Race
Design Rules
1. Sled materials: cardboard, tape, paint and wax. - No hardware is permitted (wood, plastic,
metal).
2. Evidence of any “illegal materials” will lead to immediate disqualification of the sled from racing
3. You may decorate your sled with paint, pictures, flags, etc. (Feel free to wear costumes)
4. Teams consist of 1 or more members (all members must be able to ride in sled)
5. Costumes are allowed and are greatly encouraged.
Judging Criteria
1. Judging of sleds will be prior to racing along the fence.
2. The sleds will be judged in two categories: artistic and construction.
3. The combined scores will be added for an overall score.
Please note: costumes may be considered towards the score.
There will also be an award for the fastest sled.
