Organizational Aid Appropriations for Habitat for Humanity, Black Graduate Student Association, S.I.S.T.E.R.S, Share a Swipe, WKU Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Team, and Vietnamese Student Association. PURPOSE: For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University to allocate $2,170.00 to Habitat for Humanity, Black Graduate Student Association, S.I.S.T.E.R.S, Share a Swipe, WKU Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Team, and Vietnamese Student Association, from Organizational Aid appropriations. WHEREAS: Habitat for Humanity would be allocated $500.00 for registration costs to the Collegiate Challenge, which allows Habitat for Humanity organizations from the nation to participate in building houses for families across the country, and WHEREAS: Black Graduate Student Association would be allocated $100.00 for promotional materials for the organization and future programming, and WHEREAS: S.I.S.T.E.R.S would be allocated $500.00 for community outreach initiatives, mentoring programs, and leadership training, in which all of these will grow each individual member of the organization, and WHEREAS: Share a Swipe would be allocated $500.00 for the purchase of goods for their elementary outreach program, in which the organization provides meals for elementary students throughout the community, and WHEREAS: WKU Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Team would be allocated $500.00 for registration costs to regional tournaments and gear for the entire team, and WHEREAS: Vietnamese Student Association would be allocated $70.00 for programming materials for meetings and a recruitment program that brings possible Vietnamese students to Western Kentucky University. THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University will allocate $2,170.00 Habitat for Humanity, Black Graduate Student Association, S.I.S.T.E.R.S, Share a Swipe, WKU Men’s Ultimate Frisbee Team, and Vietnamese Student Association, from Organizational Aid appropriations.
