Patients were triaged into minor, major, emergency decision unit and resuscitation cases. In addition, I have gained further skills in curettage, cautery, cryotherapy and minor surgery – including joint injection. As a GPVTS recognized rotation, I have gained a broad outlook on recognizing and assessing the well, sick and potentially sick patient. I was part of a multidisciplinary community team involved in the management of asthmatic/COPD/LRTI patients, cardiac chest pain, renal impairment/failure, meningitis and gastroenteritis. In addition, am able to treat many orthopaedic and acute trauma cases.
