MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY: Academic staff within programme areas.
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide academic leadership and support for the collaborative partners with responsibility for
managing staff and the student experience and ensuring compliance with YSJU quality
assurance processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Provide academic leadership and support for collaborative partners in curriculum
development and delivery.
2.
Exercise line management of direct reports, including setting objectives and monitoring
performance through informal measures and PDR. Assist in the recruitment and
selection of staff.
3.
Managing the approval and quality assurance of all aspects of the collaborative
partner programmes via the FQSC and the York St John University Quality &
Standards Committee.
4.
Providing staff development support and advice to collaborative partners, including a
willingness to undertake International visits.
5.
Working closely with YSJU Regional office to support effective management of the
collaborative programmes admissions processes, enrolment, marketing and on-going
development.
6.
Working closely with service providers from within YSJU to ensure the effective
support of collaborative partners.
7.
Be responsible for ensuring that effective monitoring of student expectations and
student satisfaction occurs in partner collaborative programmes, including ensuring
effective and efficient feedback mechanisms are in place.
8.
Oversee effective and efficient management
collaborative partner programmes.
9.
Updating collaborative partners of any material changes to programmes and
regulations.
10.
Work with the Head of Department to foster effective and collaborative working
relationships and communication.
11.
Work with the Head of Department to ensure the quality enhancement and assurance
processes of all the work of the collaborative programmes.
12.
Actively engage with the University’s International Development Strategy within the
programme area.
13.
Undertake appropriate University and cross-Faculty responsibilities and duties
following consultation and discussion with the Dean.
14.
Advise the Head of Department on resource requirements as appropriate.
