EVALUATION REPORT - 2010-2011
















The college has five units with 250 volunteers. The activities started in the month of June
with the enrollment of the first year volunteers.
The first advisory committee meeting was conducted on 9.7.2010
On 27.07.2010 Mrs.Tajunnisha Begum, HOD In-charge , Department of Home Science gave
a lecture on Population Awareness to the NSS volunteers in connection with the population
day.
On 5th August Dr. G.Sivaneshan HOD PG Tamil Literature, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal
College, Sivakasi acted as a resource person for the one day orientation programme for first
year NSS volunteers.
On August 11th Blood donation camp was jointly organized by the NSS units & Indian Red
Cross Society, Ramanatha puram.
Two of our NSS Programme Officers Ms.K.Akila &Ms.P.Krishnaveni participated in Three
day District Disaster Response Training Programme was held at Ramanathapuram
On September 14th Dr.Sumayaa , Principal gave a lecture on Women’s Health.
On October 1st NSS units of our college received the award for BLOOD DONERS was
organized by Meenakshi Mission Hospital , Madurai
NSS Special camp was organized at Panaikulam from October 1st to 7 th and 125 NSS
volunteers participated along with 3 NSS programme Officers.
On October 18th medical check up for staff was organized by Meenakshi Mission Hospital,
Madurai .
On December 1st Red Ribbon Club & NSS units conducted a Rally for HIV/AIDS awareness
from college campus to Kilakarai Town.
On December 16th Department of Tamil & NSS units organized a awareness programme on
National Integaration & Human Rights .Mr.Ravichandra Ramavanni, Mr.Somasundaram
gave the lecture on that topics.
On December 24th NSS units & Placement cell of our college was organized a career
guidance programmes for Final year UG & PG students. Er.R.Subramanian, Senior Lecturer,
Sathak Polytechnic College, Kilakarai was the resource person.
On December 29th NSS & RRC of our college organized a HIV/AIDS awareness & Mega
Exhibition at college campus. Students of various colleges and 200 women of Seethakathi
NGO’s visited the exhibition.Dr.Barwatha Regina Pappa , Former Director of Women
Studies, Alagappa university, Karaikudi gave a lecture on HIV/AIDS
On 22/01/2011 One hundred and forty eight students of our college participated in Mugavai
Marathan to create the awareness on global warming ,was organized by Dhan Foundation
Ramnad.
NSS Special camp was organized at Thamaraikulam from January 28th to February 3rd and
125 NSS volunteers participated along with two NSS programme Officers.

Mr.Judson , National awardee on Road Safety, Chief Traffic Warden , Thoothukudi District
gave the training to 229 NSS volunteers of our college to create the awareness on Road
Safety.
 Ms. Akila and 20 NSS volunteers participated in Election Awareness Seminar was organized
by Nehru Yuva Kendra , Ramnad on 24/02/2011
 On 26/02/2011 Tree Plantation programme was inaugurated by Captain
Vijaysingh,Mr.Srinivasan Former DIR, NPOL and NSTL.
 On 18/03/2011 NSS Programme Officer Ms.V.Akila attended a Oneday Orientation
Programme on the topic Celebrating Life was organized by Red Ribbon Club & TANSACS,
Chennai.
 On 02.04.2011 Our NSS Programme Officer Ms.V.Akila gave the speech on Voters rights
for Voters awareness Programme at Sikkal ,was organized by Seethakathi Trust .
 On 4/4/2011 NSS Programme Officer Ms V Akila attended a oneday Voters Awareness
Programme , organized by Seethakathi Trust held at Sikkal.
