Introduction to method of working, Board & Pillar method Long wall mining method,
Thickseam mining method, Horizon Mining Method, Hydraulic and Preumatic storing, support
system and roof control, subsidence due to mining.
2. Mine survey-II (Th-2)
Miner’s dial, Leveling, contouring , calculation of ore reserves, theodolite, GPS & total station.
3. Mine Ventilation – (th-3)
Ventilation, air crossing & distribution, Mechanical ventilation Booster fan & its effect,
auxiliary ventilation, Ventilation survey, Leakage of Air in Mines.
4. General Electrical engineering (Th-4)
Electrical cables for mining use, fuses, Circuit breakers, protective system, Industrial DrivesMining type, Electric braking used in mines, Flame proof and Intrinsically safe apporation,

Introduction unit operations, Grinding, lab sting, Industrial Screening, Gravity

b. Material handling & Transportation in Mines:
