INFORMATION LETTER
Dear colleagues,
We invite you to participate in the international scientific conference “Actual problems of
modern psychiatry, narcology and neurology” that is to be held on 7 – 9 October, 2015.
The conference has been included in the Register of scientific and technical symposia,
congresses, conferences, seminars and meetings in Ukraine – UkrISTEI (Certificate No. 560 of
August 4, 2014).
The problems to be discussed at the conference:
1. The problem of comorbidity in modern psychiatry, narcology and neurology.
2. Diagnosis, therapy and prevention of multimorbid disorders of neuropsychiatric nature.
3. Optimization of approaches to the provision of psychiatric, neurological and medical and
psychological assistance, in accordance with the contemporary needs of combatants and internally
displaced persons.
4. Epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of post-traumatic syndrome in
children.
5. Prevention, intervention and postvention of suicides.
6. Mental health of students. Models of medico-social assistance to young people.
7. Pain in the practice of neurologist and psychiatrist.
8. Acute and chronic disorders of cerebral circulation. Some issues of modern diagnosis and therapy.
9. Paroxysmal states in neurology and psychiatry.
10. Cognitive and psychoemotional disorders in psychiatry and neurology.
11. Neuropsychiatric aspects of old age.

The opening of the Conference will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, 7 October, 2015 in the
conference hall of V.N. Kharkiv National University (61022 Kharkiv, Svobody Sq. 4).
Registration of the participants in the lobby: 09:00–10:00.

Forms of participation:
1. Report at the meeting.
2. Poster presentation.
3. Publication of abstracts.
4. Master classes.
5. Participation without publication.
A collection of conference proceedings will be published based on the results of the
conference.
Publication of materials is free of charge.
Conference participants will receive certificates.
Requirements for oral reports:
Duration of the report must not exceed 15 minutes. Presentation of the report must be issued in
MS Power Point 2003, 2007.
Requirements for poster presentations:
The speaker presents the results of his/her research on a 1 × 1.5 m poster. Prerequisites: title,
authors’ names, research supervisors of the institution. The report must contain information on
relevance, goals, objectives, materials and methods of the research, as well as obtained results and
conclusions.
Requirements for abstracts:
1. Only previously unpublished absracts are accepted.
2. One author can publish only one independent work and one work in collaboration.
3. The text is to be typed in Microsoft Word text editor, Times New Roman font, 14 pt font
size, 1 interval, margins 2 cm, up to 3 pages, without hyphenation, A4 format. Abbreviations may be
used only after mentioning of the full title.
4. The structure of the abstracts must be the following: UDC, title of the publication
containing the given name(s), middle name(s) and surname(s) of the author(s); full official name of
the organization represented by each of the authors; country; city; main text (relevance, purpose,
material and methods, results of the research and their discussion, conclusions, bibliography). At the
end of the work, the information from the title is specified again, plus a brief summary and key words
in English.
7. The organizing committee is not responsible for the presence of spelling and stylistic errors.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information presented.
8. The file name must contain the English name of the first author and the city.
9. Abstracts must be submitted in electronic form only and sent to the organizing committee (email: psychodep.kh@gmail.com) with the application form attached. The last date for submission of
the documents is 1 August, 2015. Materials submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
