Material and Explanation William Stanley A. Gammon was born ca. March, 1894 to William and Eva Lizzie (nee Ariss) Gammon at Headington, Oxford. He is the cousin of my uncle, Eugene Argyll Grant (born ca. March, 1906)who was the son of Frederick Henry R. Grant and Sophia Charlotte Gammon. The following documents came into my possession when my aunt, Winefred Anne (nee Gibbons)Grant died in 1997. Since there was no issue to the marriage, my siblings became the immediate family. Documents relating to the life of WSA Gammon: 1. Postcard photograph of soldier in uniform 2. Rear view of postcard. 3. Page 1 and 4 of letter written by WSA Gammon written 12th September, 1915. 4. Page 2 and 3 of letter written by WSA Gammon written 12th September, 1915 5. Top of page death notification – Army form B. 104-82 6. Bottom of page death notification – Army Form B. 104-82 7. Transcript of letter I have actively researched with reasonable success both sides of the family. However, I am unable to research the 20th century connections due to privacy laws. Any suggestions you may have to make this possible would be appreciated. Wendy (nee Gibbons) Purslow
