Software Engineer
Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer – Full-time and Summer Internships
Location: Los Angeles office and other locations
SNT is looking for entry-level and experienced software engineers to join our engineering and services teams. Your work
will involve developing network scenarios, programming networking protocols and running large-scale simulations.
*Responsibilities
*• Design network scenarios to analyze the best case and worst case performance of wired and wireless networks using
high-performance multi-core and cluster computers.
• Design and develop simulation models for networking protocols based on standards.
• Create new tools and technologies to improve the design, analysis and deployment of wireless networks.
Skills
*Main requirements:
*• Strong programming expertise in C/C++.
• Experience with software engineering practices.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and OSI network model
*Additional / Plus Qualifications:
*• Experience with network simulation tools like QualNet, EXata, ns-2 or others.
• Experience in designing and developing Layer 2 and Layer 3 network or routing protocols.
• Understanding or expertise of one or more of the following: WiFi, UMTS, LTE, WiMAX, ad-hoc (MANET) routing,
HLA/DIS, sensor networks, etc.
• Understanding or expertise of one or more of the following: JTRS, SRW, GMR, WIN-T and WNW.
