New Special Treatment Premises Licence Fees 2010/2011

New
The Council has determined that applications for a new special treatment
premises licence or renew and existing licence will be required to pay a
reasonable fee. That fee has been calculated depending of the level of
potential risk for the treatment applied for or provided.
The licensable treatments have been split into higher and lower risk and as
such the fees are split into the category. A list of the treatments and their
classification as higher or lower risk is available via the Council’s website at
www.westminster.gov.uk/mst-premises-licence.

The above fees are set under the power contained within paragraph 7(6) of the London Local
Authorities Act 1991.
Renewal
A renewal application must be received by the Licensing Authority before the
expiry of the current special treatment licence. If a renewal application is not
received prior to the expiry of the special treatment premises licence a new
application is required with the relevant new application fee.

The above fees are set under the power contained within paragraphs 7(6) of the London
Local Authorities Act 1991.
Variations
A variation application is required for any of the changes to the licence except
changing the trading as name of the premises. There are two fee levels for
variation application which are listed below.
If a variation application is required that has a combination of the variation
types listed below then the higher fee out of the two is required with that
application.

Note: Applications to vary the licence are

 Change the layout of the premises
(amend the current deposited plan),
 Add/amend or remove a condition
or conditions (excluding changing
the number of therapists or
removing permitted special
treatment(s).

to the licence.
Application to vary the special treatment
premises licence to:
 remove a permitted special
treatment, and/or,
 to increase or decrease the number
of therapists permitted to provide
treatments at the premises at any
one time.
