Father Judge High School seeks an energetic, experienced and dynamic leader for the Head
Varsity Lacrosse Coach position.
Position Summary:
To provide leadership, collaboration, and coordination in the lacrosse program at Father Judge
High School. The Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach is responsible for ensuring compliance with
PIAA and PCL By-Laws, consulting with the school principal and athletic director, as well as the
PCL Lacrosse Moderator.
The Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach is ultimately responsible for maintaining and sustaining a
culture that promotes good sportsmanship, integrity and professionalism among the entire
lacrosse program, including the student-athletes and coaching staff. He/she is responsible for
maintaining an environment that teaches teamwork and respect for all participants inside and
outside the arena of competition.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of the lacrosse program at Father Judge High School.

Ensure that sportsmanship, integrity and professionalism are preserved and enforced
among all teams in the program (freshmen, JV, varsity).

Attend all meetings related to PIAA rule interpretation meetings, PCL pre-season and
post-season coaches meetings, and Father Judge athletic events.

Responsible for the distribution, collection and inventory of all lacrosse uniforms and
equipment.

Assist the athletic director with equipment needs, and uniform purchasing.

Promote Father Judge High School at all school open houses, athletic awards
ceremonies, and other school events.
Education - Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three to five years of experience in lacrosse coaching.
Knowledge of the high school game. Position requires a working knowledge of Pennsylvania
Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) and Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) rules and
regulations; good organizational and communication skills; and ability to work cooperatively with
others.
