MOULTON HIGH SCHOOL PRE-CALCULUS SYLLABUS Goals/Objectives This course in Pre-Calculus will cover concepts in functions and their graphs, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmetic functions, trigonometry, and sequences, series and probability. Skills and processes learned in previous courses will be utilized, strengthened, and reinforced. Emphasis will be placed in using the textbook as a resource. TEXT(S) Advanced Mathematical Concepts: Pre-calculus w/ applications/Glencoe Math GRADING Grading will follow the Moulton Independent School District (MISD) policy A = 90% – 100% B = 89% – 80% C = 79% – 70% Failing = 69% – below COURSE EVALUATIONS Averages for each six week grading period will be determined as follows: Major Grades (tests, quizzes) 50% Minor Grades (homework) 50% There will be homework almost every day.
